Default Most interesting manual transmission in 2021. BRAND NEW ONLY

Just been dreaming of buying a "fun" vehicle, and the more I think of that, the more I think I'd want a manual transmission. Bronco with the manual sounds fun. BMW 2 series might be the most fun small sporty car with manual. Camaro or Mustang, although I somehow can't see myself in one despite being the right demographic.

What brand new vehicle with a manual transmission has got your brain tickled? Doesn't have to be one you'd buy, otherwise I'd have to stay out of it and you know I can't.

The CT5 V seems the obvious pick.

I might even consider one if it wasn’t M5 money.

Maybe I'm bad at the internetz but on Cadillac Canada website I can't find a manual transmission for that car. Same in the CT4-V.

Exciting. I like. Forgive the confusion of this non-enthusiast. Although you could have helped me out by saying blackwing.

    The blackwing branding bothers me

For the last few years a 370z was available, it was crazy cheap, and standard. I think you can still get one (too lazy to look). Slap a turbo kit in it from Sasha and you've got a brand new car with over 500rwhp and a six-speed stick. It wouldn't even have an iPad glued to its dash, so it might qualify for collector plates!

Is there a way to hide this post from Killramos with some sort of spoiler technology? It's too early in the morning to trigger his Nissan hate trigger.

Not available until 2022. They have confusingly diluted the V brand similarly to AMG and M, as someone else mentioned, the fast option with the stick is V Blackwing for the CT4 and CT5.

I’m looking forward to the magazine results where the Cadillac crushes the Germans on the track.
    I like neat cars.

My dad has a M240i with a manual and the B58 (Supra engine) and it’s a hoot to drive while still being economical and spacious. I’ve already made plans to buy it off him when he buys a G87 M2 which will likely be the last manual BMW makes and the last new car he has any interest in. That being said BMW shifters have felt rubbery to me since about the E46 generation of cars. Right now there’s some seriously impressive performance cars available from most manufacturers and the prices in Canada are very good when you look at exchange rates. Personally I am sad I didn’t get a chance to own all the good analog BMWs I dreamt about growing up that have gone sky high in prices the last 3-4 years.

    G87 M2?

Isn't the current gen 2 series a transverse econobox? Presumably they aren't going to refresh the entire platform just for the M2?

I assumed the "M2" was dead. Interesting, if this is anything resembling the rumors I will be buying one.

The M2 is confirmed to continue with a manual box and RWD for the next generation, separate from the 2 series Gran Coupe.

Sweet, hopefully they come out strong right out of the gate rather than have to wait for 3 different refreshes to get the “good” one

Either that or see what the market is like for M2 CS’s once this one hits the pavement.

Might not be the most interesting, but Cayman GT4 has to be way up there for smiles/gallon. Or other Porsche gt cars, but idk off the top of my head if they can be had in manual.

Also if we aren’t being pedantic dickbags (ya fine it’s a 2022, but it’s new and MT), ct5 blackwing for sure. That will 11/10 be a riot to drive.

GT4 is a top pick in my eyes, just not sure I’ll ever bring myself to pay PCar tax

Dunno if Lexus dabbles in manuals, but 3 new powerful V8’s coming sounds fun to me

x3 on Cayman under my pants.

I'm pretty sure Lexus doesn't, although I'd love a GS-F. Apparently, it scores poorly among its competition, though. Which might not be fair because unless you're buying that car new and keeping only two years, I don't think it's a fair comparison with Ze Germans.

Will the new Nissan 400Z come in manual? It should be good, fun and affordable!

I am sure the $50K Civic R is still on the top list for fun manual car ...

    M2, GT3 ... GT4 ... should be nice too!

Camaro or Mustang, although I somehow can't see myself in one despite being the right demographic.
    Which demographic is this?

Camaro SS 1LE is probably the best performance bargain on the market, you can find one used with very low kilos in the mid 30s-low 40s. Then again I'm just bias. Can't comment on the Mustang since I've never driven one, but I didn't bother because they are fucking everywhere. You'll get past the cheap dash in the Chev very quick, but the Recaros are super rad.

Oh man, yeah, cayman is a sweet ride. Cayman GT4 is even sweeter. A+ would bang.
