WHen is it going to stop? Each time the roads are getting cleaned up of all this slush and dirt, it snows again. Is Calgary always like this in Jan-Feb-March?

Welcome to Calgary
FWIW, Chinook is an inuit word that means "Snow eater"
Yes in Feb & March, its like this a lot. Dec & Jan not so much. It rarely gets above -5

Were you guys not here for the 90's, early 2000's?
I remember seeing it get as hot as 40, high 30's for stretches every year. We used to have awesome summers.
That's what I remember from my first 5 years (moved here in '96), after that it's been a serious downhill slope for summers.Originally posted by Hakkola

However you forgot about Apr-May-June as well.
It isn't so much the snow that is annoying the piss out of me right now, it is the consistent -20s to - 30s, this winter has been cold.
I'd rather have a steady -10/-15 all winter long then the constant fluctuations. -25 one day, 2 days later it's +2. You never get used to any temp.
Then Global warming happenedOriginally posted by Hakkola

This way we can go snowdrifting one day, and swimming the nextOriginally posted by superflychief
