    As part of the budget announced today, prices at the registry are about to go up!!

    Wait, what? If it's only supposed to be $61 right now, why do all my renewals say $70.45?

    well if you think you are going to keep your car and are paying this mystical $61, see how many years they will let you pay for. I prepaid mine until 2012.

    Not to mention higher provincial income tax, property tax and fuel costs.

    There is a service charge put on by registry agents.. isnt there?

    I'm fairly sure part of the rate increase is the inclusion of AMVIC fees ($6.25)

    $61 + $9.45 standard service fee. So whatever it goes to in April will be the new price plus $9.45 (unless they decide to raise the service charges as well)
