You guys have the NEC MultiSync PA271W-BK 27" right? I wonder how much better it is than the Dell. It's $899 at B&H right now.

that's very tempting... probably the lowest price the U2711 has ever been.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Having said that, in the 27" dell range, there is now the U2713H (not HM) which has the ability to "hardware calibrate" using a i1 Display pro. This one is still LED but "GB-LED" instead of the "W-LED" in the U2713HM.
Yup that's the one. You're welcome to check out mine anytime you want (that sounds bad lol) if you want to compare against a DELL.Originally posted by msommers

It's definitely a step up from my Dell 2401 WFP which is a great monitor still.
My prints still looked the same as they did on my previous DELL, the NEC is just better.
The NEC at $799 from B&H comes out to just under $1000 delivered.
Does that come up very often? At 899, it seems pretty decent but I looked back when you guys got it at 799 and I can't help but want to wait lol.
But your prints look the same as your Dell eh? Hmm that was a big reason why I wanted to try this one since stuff I've gotten back that looks a bit off from the screen.

It was 799 around Christmas, I've yet to see it that cheap again but then again I haven't been watching it.
I should say my prints looked close enough to my DELL and Posterjack that I couldn't really notice. I haven't printed anything I've edited on the NEC yet - it could be more accurate. It looks noticeably better though, especially the blacks.

The GF3 + 14mm came back in stock today and I bit. Saw it at Market Mall Black's and love the size of it. Plus they still wanted almost $500 for the setup. Comes out to $268 all in.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
Entire NIK Software Plug-in Collection for $149:
http://www.niksoftware.com/nikcollec...o%2Fmain.shtml
Will work on all platforms with a single installer (CS6, Elements, Lightroom, etc.):
Normally $500.
Good thing I bought Nik ColorEfex stand-alone 6 months ago for the same amount
These are the best plug ins out there IMO.
Did they change their website? Mine keeps getting routed to Nik Software powered by Google.

That's the correct one. Google owns NIK software as of a little while ago.Originally posted by msommers

Nice thanks. Yeah good deal! I was looking at it awhile ago but it seemed pretty steep. Now PTGui Pro just needs to go onsale

What advantages does PTGui Pro have over Photoshop CS6?Originally posted by msommers

Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand
That I'm not sure of. I have CS5 and it doesn't do that great of job so there is a reason to want something better for panos. I don't have any CS6 experience so I can't comment, sorry.
Ultracrepidarian
I find the Panorama/Photomerge in CS6 to be quite good. I haven't had the desire to search for other pano programs. PTGUi is OK, but I found it extremely confusing to use (this was a couple years ago, it may well have changed).
NIK Dfine is the best noise reduction software I've ever used though, and NIK HDR Efex 2 is the best HDR program I've ever used. I just love that entire software suite. I'm going to buy it even though I already paid that amount for just ColorEfex Pro 4 . I don't ever do B&W but SilverEfex gets a lot of praise.
For Free? That's awesome.
I've been a customer for about 6 months haha - I wonder if that's "long time"
No junk mail .
I did however find a code that apparently saves you an additional 25%: DZISER
Brings the price to $126.25 I can confirm Credit card was charged $129.97.
