Nice, I looked at that but it just said high gloss layer, it didn't mention white. If that's the case I'll have to give it a try. Price isn't too outrageous either, especially with a coupon code.

I'll snap a picture of one I have in my office on Tuesday. White layer for sure, looks identical to the ones I've ordered from Mpix.

I was going to post that as well.
I was thinking with how well the F-18 sunrise picture I ordered turned out I might get that grand canyon shot done in Acrylic as well.

I'm thinking I might just order frames. Their Barnwood stuff was really nice. They fucked up my prints again

You have some bad luck with them haha - I hope they at least reprinted them for you. I had them re-do a few of mine because I am super picky, and they even let me keep the old ones, which made great gifts for people who will never notice the imperfection. Fast shipping too.

I told them this is an ongoing problem and they really need to offer test prints like every other printer on the web. Haven't heard back lol.

I thought I had it narrowed down that I should add some exposure because everything was too dark. So I did that and now they're too bright

I feel like I could setup the NEC to have a profile for "Posterjack Printing" and get good results once I figure out what the hell they're doing over there.

No idea if this applies to your prints or not, but one thing I have noticed (and I don't think it's specific to PJ) is that you really need proper light on the print or it looks pretty average. I mostly have the canvases but they really pop nicely when they get some decent light on them. Any prints I have thought were too dark have satisified me when looking at them under good lighting.

Also I think we have the same monitor, I calibrate it to 100 cd/m2. If you have your monitor set too bright, you might be toning things back too much in post and getting a dark print. Colors between my monitor and PJ are spot on as far as best I can tell.

When you guys order off PosterJack, do you opt in for the image enhancement?

Yeah it's not bad, it almost covers the exchange haha. You almost need to pre-make everything for these sales, because it can take a while to make a nice album! I've been caught a couple times now like that.

We do an order every Christmas of about 10 books for both sides of the family. I usually start the project after Halloween and wait for a sale to motivate me to finish it. Lol

Now I have to rush my family album together. :banged:

How can I scope out costs before I pick an album size?

If you click on the type of album you're looking at from the front page each one has a little black box to choose cover, paper type, size, and number of pages and tells you how much.

TCS seems to have some gear on sale only by signing in and adding to cart. Too many to list but prices are pretty good for select Nikon lenses (all I looked at).

My GF actually surprised me with a HD Aluminum print from 44Wide for Christmas (we do xmas early so we don't conflict with our family's stuff). Really impressed with it - I'll definitely be getting more done from them. It looks identical to the stuff from Bay Photo I was looking at before, without the ridiculous cost. I think they even have 25% off right now.
