Actually, price match at bestbuy / FS will get you a tiny bit more discount. Collect points at bestbuy too.Originally posted by msommers

This is a really nice bag that's on sale at MEC, probably best suited for mirrorless or rangefinders:

^not bad, might stop by MEC and check it out.
although from the youtube video, looks a little big
Nikon J1 (refurb) and 10-30VR lens AND Lightroom 5 for $150:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/310948145902
That is a ridiculously good deal, especially for someone who would otherwise go buy a low-end P&S for $150.
The J1 makes an awesome underwater camera too, 40M underwater housings are only $125.
Thanks for that one, I've been looking at a smaller camera lately. I'll give this one a shot to see if I like it.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

NP, it's a great little P&S substitute. I would buy that immediately if I didn't have a V1 already.Originally posted by seer_claw

And for anyone wanting the underwater housing, this is the one you want:

I have the same one for my V1 and it's awesome. Exactly the same as the Meike housing as well.
Separately, that software alone is $150 and the lens is $200 locally.

Great deal but the even funnier thing is that my Nokia 1020 has displaced my P&S. Brought my GX1 + 14 & 20mm to Japan and used it for exactly one picture.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
London Drugs has some Kata DL-3N1-20 bags on for $49 if anyone needs a good cheap sling/backpack.
Thanks. I went and picked up that sling/backpack last night. Was looking for one since my gear got stolen last November.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Adorama
probably bigger deal to nex users, since fuji has the 14mm and 35mm. but things on the nex side is a bit lacking.

good thing these lens weren't meant for the A7, or else I would have some explaining to do later on.Originally posted by bcylau

Camera Canada has Nikon Coolipix A (silver) on for $699:

Also just a heads up, there are some significant price differences on Nikon lenses at Memory Express and various authorized online Nikon dealers. Memory Express has all their stuff at full MSRP, and there are sales at a lot of the Ontario stores right now, so it makes for some big price beats.
No one in their right mind would pay full MSRP for that. And even at $699 I still question it's value. I cannot see how this camera is $480 better than the 3 year old GF3 with 14mm f/2.5 @ $220.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

I agree, $1100 was a rip off for that thing. I doubt they sold too many. The accessories are extremely expensive as well. This is the first time I have seen it with a heavy discount though.Originally posted by clem24

That sensor for $699, good build, and a good lens isn't too bad though. It's closer to where it should have been priced initially. The sensor is a lot better than the one in the GF3, so it depends how much that matters to you for that particular comparison. I suspect the GF3 is a snappier camera though.
^yeah it was way over priced but even after lowering it down to $700, it's still facing some tough competition.
there's the RX100 and if I wanted a fixed 28mm P&S, there's the Ricoh GR for $750.
while Nikon might have a slightly better lens, metering and AF, the GR is more versatile (21mm converter and 35/50 crop) plus Ricoh keeps on releasing firmware updates.
