the eneloops were 7.99 (from 6.99 sales before) @ SDM

if you guys sign up for the pgbrandsaver or something coupons you can get an extra $1-2 off the sale price.

for those that don't have a charger, wait for the dell deals that have 12 batteries ($7-8 x 3 = $21-24) and a charger for about $25.

D3100 bodies at Memory Express for $379. That is VERY cheap for someone looking for a backup or good entry level cam:

    Sale ends June 18.

Has anyone seen any deals as of recent for any micro4/3s. I have vacation booked soon and would like something that would take better quality photos than a P&S but not as big and bulky as DSLR. After reading tons of reviews on the Panasonic Lumix G series micro4/3s it seems to fit what I'm looking for.

If anyone knows of any on going deals right now, feel free to PM or post here! Greatly appreciate it!

    Thank you!

Nikon is running rebates on the 1 series mirrorless cameras until the end of June.

Panasonic is running rebates as well.

If you care about action/Autofocus tracking/continuous shooting have a look at the Nikon V1. It's by far the closest thing you will find to a DSLR In a small package, and the only one with a useful AF system/buffer for anything other than still images. That isn't important to some people though. Lens selection could be better, but it should cover anyone looking for a vacation camera.

This is a good link to show current rebates:

    http://www.vistek.ca/about/rebates.aspx

This is where you look for price beats & best Canadian prices:

    http://www.photoprice.ca/

Most likely the cheapest price would be a memory express price beat plus the manufacturer rebate.

Also check out the Sony NEX 5N.

Bunch Canon bundles on at Saneal until end of this month..

Next month there will be a bunch of Nikon deals for the duration of the month. The rep came in saying everything with the word Nikon on it will be on sale basically lol.

May want to check out the new Sigma 105 HSM OS too. It's the same price as the Nikon 105, and so far everywhere I look suggests the Sigma is a sharper lens. It does vignette slightly more on a full frame wide open, though (1.5 ev VS 0.8 ev).

Actually I think the Sigma 150 OS MACRO is the way to go but it's so expensive! ($1250).

It would pain me a bit to buy a 3rd party lens for the same price, but with macro lenses the 3rd parties usually do a pretty good job with not nearly the same kind of sample variation as their zooms.

After some advice and help from Mitsu3000gt, I ended up picking up a Panasonic Lumix GF2 brand new body for a pretty good price.

Being quite new to the photography section, I definitely feel welcomed by Mitsu3000gt. Very knowledgeable and helpful, and will take his time to explain things in detail. There is without a doubt a lot of enthusiasts in this section of the forum. Look forward to learning more from everyone

    Thanks again Mark!

Now time to look for a lens!

Olympus E-PL2 is on sale at Henry's for $379.99. I called Vistek to see if they would price match and they were shocked at the price and didn't have on in stock anyway. Also, since the order is over $349 it includes free Expresspost shipping.

I bought one because olympus makes a super bitchin underwater housing for it...and I want that

The E-PL3 housing for some reason is $300 more. and apparently the E-PL3 isn't quite as good for the underwater housings, but who knows if that's just random internet hearsay

My E-PL2 came today...took a couple quick snaps with it which I'll post later. Super impressed, for $379 it's a great camera.

Just noticed the GF3 deal at ME.

    380 with the 14-42PZ lens
    250 with the 14mm lens

    http://www.memoryexpress.com/Categor...b-3b814f01e8c7

That's fu@ked up, the lens itself is more than that already, so tempted to get the PZ lol. Don't think I read it wrong.
