driving from vancouver this weekend

guys, im gonna be flying up this friday to purchase a vehicle, and will be driving back down on saturday afternoon back to calgary. Been watching the highway forecast and highway cams, looks nasty. I drove around this time back in 2008 and even though it was snowing pretty hard, had no issues on the highway. However this time around seems to be in a much worse shape. Anyone drive from van lately? how was it?

any tips or recommendations on which route to take?

what kinda car jon?? how is tire tread?

i think if you drive carefully you'll be ok, this weekend is supposed to get a bit nicer and the further west you go from here is already substantially nicer

i might have to buy some new tires, gonna be some dunlop m3 runflats, has 9/32nd and 5/32nd...

like i said though, weather should pick up this weekend and BC for the most part is pretty nice, stick to the TC

I'm not sure what it's like now but we did the drive there and back 2 weeks ago, and it was good for the most part. The area to watch out for is around Golden, Revy, etc.. there always seems to be delays/closures (construction, avalanche, or accidents) right around there. We sat in traffic near Golden for over an hour waiting for some semi trucks to make it up a hill...

Oh yeah, and as mentioned above... just take #1 TC
