Filmmaking wise, it was good. But my critique remains the same as it has all season - storytelling: not so good.

That was an awfully quick transition into a new government (not to mention they took the advice of a prisoner without question).

I can't tell if John is heading the new Night's Watch, or if he's resettling as a Wildling beyond the wall.

An Arya spin-off in the new world sounds like Assassin's Creed without the Animus.

Now it's all about the water bottle spotted by Tarly's foot.

    Lol, get over it internetz.

I actually wonder if people would see more of this sort of stuff in earlier episodes if they went back to look for them. I think with this season people are just looking for stuff to pick on.

Is easier to spot flaws in the shoot, when the story isn't engaging at all and you aren't being absorbed in the moment.

Well I do have to agree with this. I bet nobody noticed bowl of blue m&m’s during the red wedding.

I was under the impression the water bottle was a joke and done on purpose to piss off the nerds; Like the coffee cup. I’m pretty sure coach Harris agrees with me.

There is a wheel chock holding Brian wheelchair when John was saying goodbye. Then the next scene it was gone.

I could be wrong but even though the ending was rather boring (I had to watch it twice as I fell asleep the first time), it has me wondering the way they ended it was to allow the possibility of spin offs. What stops a show with Jon in the north (facing something new) or lord of Light comes back and there is another battle.

The way Hollywood does things, I am sure there will be a reboot in a few years. Maybe it will be all women this time

I didn't love the ending, but didn't hate it either. It was a little cheesy, but I get what they were trying to do with the whole "breaking the wheel" angle. If they had maybe 5 more episodes to wrap it up, I'm sure the story could've been told a lot more eloquently.

That's the problem with great TV shows, the ending can never live up to the hype. Even the ending for Breaking Bad, I find, was too predictable. Hopefully Better Call Saul can keep its writing up for next season.

In all honesty, the only way I think they could've salvaged some of the storytelling in the last couple seasons is... (SPOILER ALERT, and I'm not using the damn tag)

If, at the end of the Stark montage, Bran is left alone in his room and suddenly stands up and looks out the window at King's Landing with a look of accomplishment. It's a callback to Grand Maester Pycelle who proved to not be as old and and broken down as he let on. And second, it sort of backs up Bran's mentioned, but never explored, ability to see anything at any time, and potentially see the future (or at least intuit what the future holds). Plus it makes him a completely heartless fuck, which helps to explain how bland he's acted since he became the Three-Eyed Raven.

I didnt mind this season to be honest. Everything made sense for the most part. Left a few unopened doors for some spinoffs I'm sure. Yeah it was a bit rushed, but not sure what the uproar is all about.

Your ending is already better than the finale.

Arash reminds me of Mar but I can't tell which one is more stupid.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

That would have been a lot more satisfying, but then, almost anything else would have been.

Heard about this on the radio yesterday

Nearly double the speed limit to get home in time for the no-boobs finale

This last season wouldn't have been such a gong show if they just took their time and paced it properly over 2-3 seasons. Just felt way too rushed.
