Do you have that name registered...if not run a NUANS report on it....it's probably taken....and then your logo is no good
JustinMCS's 2nd version is the best, imo. Nice work. Makes me wonder what you were doing on your first attempt...

if you want any changes just go ahead and post and he said he can do revisions if you need
My future brother in-law invented this site. Take a look on how you can get a logo that YOU want, and not just settle for something else.

Starbucks went to to him to get their new coffee cup logo, he's from Calgary and this website is a great idea.
Good Luck!
Yes, the name is registered.Originally posted by Wrath

Nah, I rather choose from here since they already spend time working on designs.Originally posted by veedubin69

$50 is hardly worth a logo
think about the potential rev ur gaining from this.
its gonna be everywhere
ur business cards
ur website
ur vehicles
ur invoices
a more realistic price is $450 that includes 3 revisions
every additional revision is $125 after that.
and you would get the images in all formats.
ready for printers and etc.
considering your a small business this price makes perfect sense as its considered a write off for you in the next tax year or the current one.
anyways thats my two cents on it...

Offer $150 as a reward on designcontest and it will be worth it.
This is your logo we're talking about here... not exactly the best thing to cheap out on.
The crappy thing about trying to get a logo for cheap is that although you can save money you lose value on your brand. Kloubek's logo was decent but I've seen that idea somewhere, possibly too gimmicky. The logo he said "finally someone who knows design" well...good attempt but I see a few things wrong with it as well.
There are so many factors in designing a logo like typography (pairing of fonts), logo mark, colors. It's not just about hearing a name and starting to design, the industry you're in needs to be scoped, see who your competitors are, see which brands ares the strongest, why and how to put those remarks into your brand.
This is the first connection people will make with your company. Tons of designers and companies out there that do great work. Just save some more money and go out to find them. Better to do it proper in the first place than to have to go back and do it again later.
Would just like to mention that I completed this logo early May. It's now 2 months later and payment arrangements keep being negated in favor of excuses.
I had a whole bunch of patience with this company, spent countless hours developing a logo and their business card, and they are unable to fulfill their end of the agreement.
My mistake was believing that the party involved was a trustworthy person and because they are from Beyond, things would go smoothly. They posess the files for the work because I sent to them in advance of payment.
Wait... just so we're clear, they're dodging you over $50?Originally posted by Davex

As I mentioned on my last e-mail to you, things were very busy. It is now better since it hasn't been raining. Afterall its a landscaping company. I understand you did this work sometime ago but no I don't have the files that you worked on just yet since we haven't met yet. Like I said, I have your gift cards here and we just need to make time to meet and done with it. Again, I am sorry that this is taking longer than it needed! Check your e-mail!
Blah anybody in the future do it right!

I really don't see how their could be an issue over $50. I mean...
A) email graphic to client
B) mail gift card to designer
Seems so complicated.
I'll say this as well now. Anybody that sees this thread by googling your company name will like never hire you for any landscaping, fence or deck project. When a company is only willing to spend $50 on a having a designer make a professional logo for a business it says a lot of about the people who own and operate the business.
As it was pointed out before, you should have went to a reputable design website such as elance or 99designs. Yes the cost is substantially higher but you do get hundreds of designers bidding on your project and you get top notch results.
Now you have a thread that can be googled where potential clients can see you were screwing somebody out of $50. That looks good for business doesn't it.
