So does the iPad/iPad 2 have a decent speaker on it? I'm looking for something to watch movies and surf the web around the house, but I don't really want to wear head phones all the time.

It's not bad. It sounds like a semi-decent laptop speaker, but it's only mono. That said, it'll do for casual watching/surfing and it's plenty loud (I had mine playing some music at about 75% and I could hear it clearly from across the lithography studio).

Apple Site says it's only a 1-2 week wait if you buy it online.

bought one a few weeks ago, if you goto the apple store and someone says you need to register and reserve an ipad2 for the next day tell them to fuck off and talk to someone else

usually you have to talk to the person at the front of the store and they have to get one from upstairs

they used to but not anymore, when i went to buy one thats what the girl said, so we did as we were told and tried for hours to reserve one on their site to no avail, then called the next day because the reservations had to be made after 9pm and were told that ended a long time ago
