I agree with Eric, there is lots of pavement at race city, the spectators can park on the gravel, you can also make them park in the south lot so you won't have to worry about dust.
1. Venue:Originally posted by Mar
DO NOT MESSAGE ME, my inbox fills up daily.

2 main questions right now:
1. venue?
2. date?
The only things I need to mention are as follows:
1. If I'm organizing it, I want to brand it as I see fit (includes names, logos....). But I will take suggestions. Any suggestions will become the property of the show.
2. I'll create the website if we get enough interest.
3. I'll be open to suggestions on every other aspect of the show, this should be for the people, by the people.
4. There will probably be a fee to enter, depends on the costs associated with the show. Fees will be non-refundable unless the show doesn't go ahead.
This seems to be just a pipe dream right now, let's see how much interest we actually have to see if this can happen.
Not sure if anyone suggested this yet (haven't read through)
Why not do it at Race City? You could make it a Show, Shine and racing event (multi day probably). This also allows for a broader range of attendance for vehicles and people to come. Plus you can provide a safe outlet for people to challenge each other to races, and give race city another boost to stay alive.
this is also not to mention the extra revenue you could make from charging fees to viewers, people entering cars, people racing, and people racing and entering cars..
You could also add vendors into this mix, race city is large enough to hold a fair amount of quality vendors, pair this up with competitions and nice weather and you have a hell of a show.
I also demand a bikini car wash and detail (for charity of course!) so that we don't have to wash our cars before entering the show (this is a huge problem at world of wheels, seriously its impossible to keep it clean from the wash to the show even on the back of a truck..)
2. Date
The date would probably be best in August. The weather usually picks up by then, and its late enough for people finishing up projects or repairing stuff to be ready.
Also perhaps take the best ideas, make it a voting competition and the creator of the idea wins something (free access, bikini models around there car? :P , a tims gc?)
+1 for Quarry Park...great area, decent restaurants/bars nearby and tonnes of parking on the weekends.

Show at quarry park is the show to watch for this year. It has exotics, domestics, imports, clubs, classics, euros and it's all for charity. Those are the kind of shows blowing up all over north America.

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.
I sent you an email MAR, not sure if you got it or not..

for race city
This place is a dust bowl, hopeless for a show-n-shine.
They aren't committed to anything more than a year right now so their heart and support will not be there at all!
no matter where it is u can count me in !!
Would be a great idea, I can spread this on to Dc5ab (RSX Forums of Alberta).
Also, you guys should go to most of the performance shops (Tunerworks, Calgary Auto Shop etc...) and get them to tell their customers about it or something to help spread the word around.
Quarry park sometime in late July/ Early August would probably work the best.
Just a quick note...
For the past three years Eurodrivers has been hosting a show in Red Deer called Euroquake.
While it has been mostly dominated by VW's and Audi's, this year effort is being made to open the show up to all comers.
There will be less individual year/mk classes for the VW's and Audi's. Hopefully support from several local exotic clubs, (Lotus Club is guaranteed).
To make this show all that it can be, Eurodrivers and Das Auto Haus (RD) are opening up classes for best Non-Euro, depending on the level of interest multiple categories may be opened.
The best thing about the show is that it is FREE, that's right FREE.
Donations are welcome and appreciated by the Ronald McDonald House
Location: Red Deer Alberta
Date: August 19-21, show day is the 21st
Event sponsors at this time are Das Auto Haus, Vibe Car Audio, Nossack Fine Meats. Looking to add others shortly, the above listed are confirmed.
We know you guys have some seriously baller rides, we want to see them out at the show, events like this offer something for everybody.
Look for an official invite with links to the website soon
