^ yeah what does your wife/gf think of this obsession *ahem* collection? my gf already can't stand one project car (that isn't even on our property) and video games.

also what is everything worth in total, curious.

Wow what an awesome collection! Glad to see my old Grapple go to somebody who appreciates it

Regarding the shelf, we have the exact same one (to display our Mario collection lol) that was purchased from Ikea. You should be able to find it there still for relatively cheap!

I have a few, maybe you can tell me if they're worth anything. Not that I'd sell them

    All Gen 1 stuff:
    Mirage
    Jetfire
    Thrust

I also have an old Grimlock and a couple others I can't remember. Every transformer has all the accessories.

haha, I'll tell you prices but they will depend on whether or not you're selling!

Just kidding here's what they're worth:

Mirage - He's actually very rare because he was never reissued. Most of the Transformers were reissued by Takara/Hasbro and re-released in early 2000s and brings the value down a lot. Since Mirage was never re-released and cracks very easily at the waist, a complete one in good condition easily fetches $70.

Jetfire - Please sell him to me, I need him. Local sales on a complete Jetfire are about $100, the little black gun clip alone goes for $30. But that depends on the colour of the figure, very often these guys are yellowed because the type of white paint they used turns yellow in UV light.

Thrust - I need a few pieces for, a complete one goes for about $45.

Grimlock - I got the sword on the way from a guy in the USA right now to complete mine but a good condition one with good chrome on the tail will sell for $70 or more. Some douchebag at the Farmer's Market flea market down south is trying to fetch $120 for one with nothing but the sword. He tried to tell me, "Ya, Grimlock didn't come with any weapons besides his sword." Okay buddy.....then what are these 3 missiles and missile launcher and gun that I have here? Moving on.....

Please sell me the Jetfire if it's in good condition. I'l take the rest too or I'll help you find buyers for them, your choice. I have a collector friend looking for Mirage.

He's the grail for North America, series 1-3 (1984 - 1986). Once you go outside North America you get into the Japanese exclusives and also some of the repaints (red Tracks, blue Bumblebee...) that other countries had and they're crazy expensive. And 1987 had a new holy grail, Fortress Maximus which originally sold for $100 and now tops out at over $1000........the cardboard box for this guy sells for $200 alone. And I GUARANTEE you someone on this forum has this sitting in a box in their basement not realizing they're sitting on a $1000 piece of plastic collecting dust. I bet multiple people do.

Reflector I just got a month or so ago, they're fairly impossible to find for sale, especially a genuine non-knockoff. I found a guy in Ontario selling it and he gave me the full background on how he bought it at Comic Con the previous year and sent me pictures so I could verify it's all completely original and authentic. After a few weeks I finally bought it. I still talk to the guy regularly, he's a cool guy......chill guy?

Other than that I saw one other Reflector for sale on Kijiji by a guy that did all his collecting when they were super cheap and had no idea the price has almost tripled so he was almost giving everything away. Before I got there he sold his Reflector to another collector I know here in Calgary for $75, I nearly shit my pants. He told me some other prices he sold things for and I had to go before I heard any more.
