Default Got screwed over on PayPal transaction need claim help

Ok 1st time making a claim on paypal.

Bought a turbo from Audizine (large Audi forum) Classifieds. I have bought a lot of stuff there no problems.

Well this time I bought a "1000 mile turbo" that looks like it's more like a 1,000,000 turbo.

Anyways I started a claim on the Paypal, but don't know if i should wait a couple days for the seller to get back to me or if I should just jump on that shit now and try to get my $$$ back by clicking on the "Escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim" link.

    Any advise is appreciated....

I noticed in that thread, you say the ad is down. Might still be in your cache? Go "offline" on your browser, then go in your history and try to find it there. Then print-screen it and save it so you can keep it as proof.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

file a claim right away, what it does is it will freeze the funds in his paypal account until this issue has been resolved.
In the event that Paypal rules in your favor they will refund you your amount, However if you give the guy a heads up he has time to pull all the money from his paypal account (if he hasn't already) and even if paypal rules in your favor the most they can do is close his account and you will be out some money.
If something is up I always escalate THEN try to work it out with the seller.

Depending what you said in the paypal claim u can say good bye to ur money. Sorry to say, but ive been through it before.

If there was no tracking number(or signature required upon delivery) than say u never received the item. Unfortunately its the only way of screwing the seller.

Escalate to claim right away, I believe the seller has 10 days to respond, if he fails to do so than the money will be directly wired back into ur account. Lets hope this is the way it turns out.

That turbo is junk. I'm curious, did you not see pictures of it before you paid for it? Just visually that thing is totally beat. It has a few non-factory fasteners on there too. I wouldn't risk those oil lines either. I'd bet it'd be cheaper to just buy a new one than trying to rebuild that one. Good luck whatever path you take, sorry for the bum deal.

NVM, I read on audizine you never asked for pics. Tough pill to swallow there.

Ya, my fault for not asking for pics.

I've bought literally thousands of dollars worth of stuff off of there, here and p-shop and never got screwed yet. The guys story all added up and it everything (including price) was right in line.

I did sign for it when I got it, but I didn't pay using the "gift" option. I used the bank x-fer which is supposed to have added insurance on PayPal, but we will see I guess.

I bumped everything up to 911 emergency level and the seller responded to me on Audizine through PM's about 10 minutes ago. So hopefully he steps up and takes it back.
