    I like it. Looks a lot more sleek than the current one. Not so chunky

    There are enough rumbling out there that I would really be surprised it's not a N54 with different turbo.

    New one looks so much better IMO, particularly towards the rear.

    once u see the side by side..
    i personally like the new one now.

    but without the side by side.. i would have leaned towards the current style....

    Personally I'd say the E39 is still the best looking M5. And between E60 vs. F10, I'd go with the E60 in those side by sides... It looks different whereas the F10 just looks like, well, a normal car. But maybe I'll change my mind when I see them in the flesh. Also the E60 wheels > F10.

    Do you mean n55 with different turbos?

    But even then, it isn't officially confirmed yet as it will be quite some time before the next gen M3 comes out.

    This is the Exact reason I like the new F10, it is a subtle change from the F10 550 kind of like the way it was from the e39 540 to e39 M5. I prefer this style of subtle change versus the extreme changes we see now in the e60 550 to M5 or Benz e500 to e63 amg.

    I personally really like the new body style, it has body features of the e39 5 series and the new 7 series that I like and very little that I don't. It is getting a bit big, but all cars seem to be now adays.

    Isn't the N55 a dual scroll single turbo?

    Yeah

    N55= Single Turbo (Twin Scroll) + Valvetronic

    N54= Twin Turbo

    LOL Sorry I meant I like the E60 BODY STYLE in general (because it looks like nothing else on the road and hard to mistake it for anything other than a 5 series) and don't like the F10 body style because it seems ho-hum to me.

Power numbers become very similar. When the main difference in power is just software (thanks to the turbos), it makes it easy for people to create "poor mans" versions of the higher performance cars. F10 550i with a chip & sport package would feel VERY similar to an M5 for most buyers, I would think. Not a perfect solution but whats the premium of a M5 on a 550i? $30k?

    My 550i has gobs of power for city driving. The interior refinement is identical to the m5, so I personally didn't see the value in the m5. I went from an e92 m3 to the 550i, with no regrets.

    Same old, safe update I guess. Still not liking how the nose looks like it's coming over the top like a Dodge Charger (granted old BMWs had this to an extreme). M5's do go like stink though.
