Holy shit.
Crazy. Reminds me of the accident where that semi brake drum went through that girls car near COP. Unfortunately, she was not so lucky .

CALGARY — A woman died Tuesday after a piece of a commercial truck’s brake drum smashed through her windshield on a busy Calgary highway.
Police say the woman was driving on Highway 1 Monday night when another truck drove over the piece of brake drum, throwing it up in the air.
The piece of metal went through the windshield of her Toyota RAV 4, striking her in the head.
The 25-year-old woman was transported to hospital, where she later died.
Her identity was not released.
Police were urging large commercial truck drivers to check their brakes in case the drum fell from their vehicles without them knowing.
Holy crap - I too jumped the first time even though I was also expecting it. I guess I more expected to see a vehicle get out of control or something - which gives you a slight lead time to react.
Glad the guy was ok.
Holy shit fuck.
Still, I get nervous on the highway being so close to vehicles, especially a big truck and a trailer like that. I totally thought there was going to be some kind of wipe out that he would get tangled up in. One more reason not to follow closely!
Whoah, that thing came out of nowhere. Holy eff
I had the same thing happen to me in Mexico, near miss racing the guy in front. That piece of wood shattered the headlight, put a dent in the housing. Only 1/2 of it is exposed. Would've sucked if it was a few inches higher.
Damn thing was like a sword when we pulled it out after.

I jumped the first time I saw that.
I haven't looked at the video linked here, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, there's a flatdeck 5-ton (or so) in the right lane having an elephant race with something pulling a U-haulish trailer in the left lane, and the trailer flips up a 2x4 which goes thru the minivan's window?Originally posted by n1zm0
craziness but wth were they recording before that? the flatbed truck?
The video-taker was IIRC all ranty about the flatdeck and the trailer-hauler driving side by side at 1-2 mph difference (hence "elephant race") for miles.
I remember driving on deerfoot a few years ago when the truck in front of me ran over a 2 x 4 and it flew up and fck'd up my bumper good. If i was following any closer it would've hit my windshield.
