Default Macbook/Macbook Pro users - trackpad or mouse?

Which do you use more? I generally hate trackpads and always avoided them cause they were a pain in the (you know what). Until I got a MBP and the trackpad on it is amazing. I find when Im out now I no longer have to carry around my cordless mouse cause the trackpad on macs are so good. For general use, I actually find the MBP trackpad is just as good as a mouse.

Any sort of general internet browsing, other use, the trackpad.

If I'm sitting down for a while to do actual work, definitely the mouse, the mac wireless mouse with the touch sensitive scroll is awesome.

The trackpad is pretty good though, especially once you get used to it. If I'm stuck without my wireless mouse and am doing work, I don't feel too hindered by having to use it.

I have a Logitech V470 but it seems that even when I bother pulling it out, I end up using the trackpad anyway unless it's design work or gaming.

I use my MBP's trackpad for everything. Browsing, photo editing, spreadsheets, you name it.

Took a while to get totally used to it, but I now prefer it to a mouse. That said, I've yet to come across a decent trackpad on a non-Mac, and always end up using a mouse for those.

Do you guys use the 2 finger scroll up/down and 3 finger swipe left/right to go back and forward between web pages alot? I find i use it all the time and no longer have to hit the browser back button or browser scroll bar ever. Same with the 2 finger tap to bring up the right click menu. Amazing features.

Any other great features on the MBP trackpad that are exclusive on macs?

The two finger scroll is pure genius.
I always forget and try it when I'm on other computers.

i don't believe the finger gestures are exclusive to the macs now... i recently installed W7 on an old laptop and manually installed synaptic drivers, and it had a whole bunch of gestures customizable

the macbook trackpad still feels the best and tracks the best imo, tho

I only ever run a mouse when I'm on the windows side of my MBP

Don't forget the 4 finger swipe down that shows you all windows open and lets you quickly select the one you want on top... or 4 finger swipe up that quickly moves all windows off the screen and shows your desktop and allows you to work on it while everything is hidden... and the 4 finger swipe across, which is like Tab-Alt on a pc. Shows you the programs you have running and allows you to toggle through them.

This. My Asus netbook does two finger scroll, three finger forward/back and it does the pinch zoom and rotate too!
However, iirc having two finger scroll turns off the side scroll area on the pad.

I use both on and off with the new gestures that the track pad can do.
