Your car uses a bypass valve to re-circulate the air back in to the intake. If you use a BOV on a Volvo, you'll be venting metered air to the atmosphere, causing your car to run rich and potentially stall when you close the throttle quickly. You're better off to get an IPD CBV upgrade in there to keep things reacting quickly. They're relatively cheap and easy to install:

It's also not a bad idea to swap out the turbo control valve at the same time to ensure that you're getting the proper boost levels, and it wouldn't hurt to re-adjust your wastegate actuator while you're in there:

If it's just the sound that you're looking for, I have an EST intake, and SNABB intake pipe on mine along with the IPD CBV spring on my V70. You can definitely hear the turbo spooling and venting with that setup. Works much better than the DIY BOV setups that I've seen cobbled together.
