    Default concrete driveway repair

half of my driveway has gotten really bad after this past winter, with the surface breaking up and loose concrete/rocks all over. The slab is also not level with the garage anymore, half of it has sunk about 1.5". I was considering breaking it all up and replacing it, but that might be cost prohibitive. Has anyone repaired a concrete driveway? any recommended companies?

    Here are some pics

I'm also going through this, mine isn't awful yet. The thing is my house is only 4 years old. I will be looking into the home warranty but I think it has to be structural to apply.

my house is 30 years old, and I haven't been putting salt down. It was noticeable when we moved in a couple of years ago, but it just got alot worse this year. When shovelling and scraping, parts of the concrete would come up with the packed snow and ice.

I'll post some pics when I get home tonight

Mine is horriable and its only been 2 years since the house was built. Home warrenty wont do anything if its past 1 year.

It starting to look like an exposed driveway so i'm thinking of getting it all spray blasted to look exposed, probably cheaper..

based on the number of people who've posted in this thread about the same problem with relatively new builds, I'm not sure I'd want to go with someone doing this work for the builders.

Contact Sam from Hascon Contracting Ltd, he deals with absolutely everything concrete related and is a super straight shooter.

He's on here too, his username is FlySi

Hmm last week I got some flyers in the mail and there was one company that does driveway repairs. There was before and after pictures but I did not keep the flyers. Next time you get em in your mail have a look. And if I see it I will be sure to keep the info.

What's the deal with cement contractors? My driveway is just terrible as well, only a few years old.

Sam at Hascon is a good friend of mine and does really good work. He's not on the site anymore, but comes on from time to time using a friend's account if he gets a PM or something. The easiest way to contact him is through his phone, found at the website.

I can vouch for his work as he recently did some for me and I think it's top notch. All builders are extremely picky and he is currently doing about 200,000 sqft a year for various ones across town.

the problem is that who ever did the work either didn't let it cure properly or what happens often is that after it is poured it gets rained on before it has set properly or covered. If the area supervisor for the builder was any good they waould have had it ripped out and redone.......but one of the problems is nobody has patience anymore for a proper build. Not the builder and for sure not the new homw owner. Everybody wants it done yesterday.

Wow looks like nasty concrete work. Tip for everyone, concrete and mortar cures at only 50% strength if it freezes. Don't let anyone do stucco, stonework or concrete in freezing temps unless they plan to cover and heat it for a couple days.
