So do the points lost escalate with speed?
Iow if I'm under 20 do I lose less points than being over 30 or 35?
Been racking up tickets like crazy lately!

Well that puts me in a bad spot!
You can get 3 points off by taking a defensive driving course. Its EASY and its like 75$
Fleet Safety International has a good course....its brain dead...seriously, if you have a pulse you should be able to pass this.
Prolly gonna have to being I'm all outta points!
Isnt that 3 times doing 30 over the limit and at least once doing 15 over the limit?Originally posted by old&slow

Wow so if I do this defensive driving course I can have the three points I got in BC a couple months ago taken off my license? Sweet!
Yep, but the conviction still stands for insurance purposes. It will still be on your record for 3 years, but its great if your job doesnt allow points on your license, etc..Originally posted by Twin_Cam_Turbo

ive taken the course 3 times...lol, i was an idiot in the day, slown learner, dont ask. You wake up when your license is taken away 3 times. The hitch is you can only do the course once a year.
Except for one it was in the transition zone from 110 down to 70...just real bad luck in the last year.
I have had many years of zero tickets...not to mention the 2 tint tickets in the past month as well.
Many years? Didnt you say you were under 20? You can at least sleep easy knowing that tint doesnt get demerits.Originally posted by old&slow

I don't even know if they put the conviction on my Alberta license, I should probably go pull my abstract and see, and take my advanced road test.
I'm not going to tell anyone to slow down, stop speeding, etc. because only holier-than-thou twatsicles who pretend to be model citizens make those kind of asinine posts.
But I will say STOP GETTING CAUGHT.

It's actually every 2 years for the Defensive Driving Course.Originally posted by sr20s14zenki

Also, if I'm understanding correctly, if you receive no tickets for demerit suspension for 2 years - you start off the 3rd year with 15 demerits (or 8 for GDL)?
So if I had a ticket for going lets say a bit over 220km/h, about 5 years ago, it would not longer be on my record?
