Hey Guys, how do you sync Outlook Contacts and Calendar with droid?
Exchange sync is great out of the box.

I think it's automatic? If not, go into Settings, Accounts & Sync settings, go into your Exchange account and check Calendar and Contacts.Originally posted by Xtrema

Mine easily lasts a day (uses 1/6 battery every 5-6 hours) with occasional use of the browser and sync active on my two gmail accounts. Worst I've had (used a ton of apps and data transfers, with a lot of activity) was about 6 hours on a full charge.
Charging via USB is nearly useless though. Damn near takes 5 hours from 50%. Wall charger works fine.

Well, after the battery is conditioned ( couple discharges and full charges) I get about close to 30 hours before charge. That's with moderate web browsing, some games and normal talk time.
It is very hard to kep up with a new phone every 3 months. Buy what you can enjoy now.
A new nexus phone comes out every year. Whatever you buy today will be outdated in the next few months. I agree with Iceberg, buy what you like now.Originally posted by gyu
How often do you guys charge it? I'm considering picking up one of these but I read battery life is bad, and when the new Nexus phones come out this year the technology in this one won't be comparable.
With the nexus phones you get the latest release software wise anyways and the hardware is more than suffiecient for the average user.
I fuck around for an hour and 20% of battery is gone. It definitely requires daily charging.
Now I think I can live with this phone for at least 2 years. Internet is reasonably fast. Only slow on flash sites. It got more than enough functions I ever need on a phone.
So I caved and bought the Nexus S (as well as the Xoom), been using the Nexus S for the past few days and like others have said...its definitely different than using the iPhone 4. I like certain aspects as syncing to your google account and the customizability of it. But on the other hand I sort of miss the straight forward home button on the iphone (instead of the 4 buttons on the bottom of the S).
I still haven't made my mind up to which I like more though between the iphone 4 and the Nexus S and will give it a few more days.
If I don't like the Nexus S, what is the return policy for it (bought from bestbuy)?
thanks in advance
Like I said you will hate it for 3 to 6 days then will love it once you get it all customized. Try an iPhone before you switch back, I wager you hate it.

I'm hopefully picking one up tomorrow, have had an iPhone 3g and then 4 since it came out, no matter how much jailbreaking and stuff I've done I just want to see something other than iOS

So the downside of Android is still number and quality of Apps. Stuff like Angry bird is pretty much the same but the lack of TSN Mobile, NHL game center during playoff is a bummer. Also Score Mobile sort of filled that void.
Reddit app was great tho. And running Justin.tv without that crappy iOS app is a great too.
Google Navigation is pretty neat. Definitely replaces any GPS you have as long as you stay in WIND's home zone.
I'm liking it so far. 2.3.3 is a lot more polished but it's still not as polished as iOS. And even with AMOLED, the screen still has lesser DPI than iP4.
But the customization freedom is worth it.
Android is set to eclipse Apple in number of apps sometime this summer based on growth rates.

As far as quality apps go, I think Apple still has the crown BUT android does have more flexibility for devs which creates much more interesting/powerful apps. For example tasker would not be possible on an iPhone and it really brings out the power of android.
There is no denying Androids growth, and with that you're going to see Android hold the advantage when it comes to apps.
BTW Google finally released an app for Google Docs, its pretty sweet.

Story of my life! Minus I am on a Fascinate, I really wish I had waited 3 more months and pulled the trigger on a Nexus S.Originally posted by ICEBERG

Worth to get now or wait for Samsung Galaxy S II?
Seeing as there is no release date for the SGS2 id get the nexus now. If you are going to use an upgrade however, thats a tough decision. I always buy mine outright so in your position, id get the nexus.Originally posted by Jeremiah

I have the nexus and will be switching to the SGS2 when it is released.
Ive been reading and watching reviews of the Galaxy S 2, and its a beast of a phone. I think its engadget that said its the best Android phone hand down if not the best smart phone period.
I want.
