Yes and coming from an obvious apple cock sucking review site, that says something. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not due for an upgrade of my SGS until Feb.Originally posted by supe
Ive been reading and watching reviews of the Galaxy S 2, and its a beast of a phone. I think its engadget that said its the best Android phone hand down if not the best smart phone period.
I want.
The Engadget review make me want a SGS2. Especially on the new AMOLED screen. The one on Nexus S is grainy compared to iP4 but color is way better.Originally posted by spike98
Seeing as there is no release date for the SGS2 id get the nexus now. If you are going to use an upgrade however, thats a tough decision. I always buy mine outright so in your position, id get the nexus.
I have the nexus and will be switching to the SGS2 when it is released.
But sounds like SGS2 is getting released with 2.3.3. While Nexus owners get to enjoy 2.3.4 at least a few months ahead of other droid users.
You are definitely right. I'm liking it more and more now.Originally posted by Cos
Like I said you will hate it for 3 to 6 days then will love it once you get it all customized. Try an iPhone before you switch back, I wager you hate it.
now I just wish there was a decent case for it.
I put the invisible shield on it and wow do i hate it.
hey guys, i'm about to finally upgrade my phone (old ass sony ericsson).. have you guys experienced any problems with the Nexus S? I heard there were some call-dropping issues and random restarting.

Bad when roam, I wonder if Rogers is cock blocking WIND phones.
Watch your apps, some are buggy.
Where'd you find the call timer?? I took a quick peek at mine and couldn't find itOriginally posted by Xtrema

In a round about way. Call log got exported to McAfee Wavesecure and I download the log and added the time.
It's lame that there isn't a timer on the phone. Nor is there any apps that will do that from my search.
The Rogers app tells me everything I could possibly want to know about my phone usage....

Was just wondering as I was told I could only have 15 mins of talk time or less if I wanted to return it, but if the phone doesn't track it - how would they know?

I dont think there is a life timer in android but i could be wrong. I doubt they will even check anyways. If they have some code to punch in the dailer to check a reflash back to factory would erase that data anyways.Originally posted by tawheed

Future shop told me that there was a talk time limit, I returned a phone, they never checked. They would have to call and check, then just tell them you used it as a pda only, can't prove you talked on it.
So I received OTA update for 2.3.4 but it failed. It didn't brick my phone but I had to do a battery pull reset.
Anyone seen that on their Nexus?
How does it even show up?? I haven't seen any indication of an OTA update thus far and am wondering what to expect.Originally posted by Xtrema

Just like normal message. It said I have update and started, then 1/2 way thru, a big exclamation mark and phone is frozen.
Everything came back after reset and still on 2.3.3.
Have been reading a few things about it but have not dug too deep yet.
The official Nexus S site redirect to Samsung US site for support and the Canadian support site doesn't even have Nexus S for support registration yet.
