Not that I heard but Sony may well want us to believe that so they are not at fault on an easter weekend with all kinds of new titles out.

I spent some time eavesdropping an anon chat earlier today they were all smiles but didn't do it.

Someone mentioned an issue in Japan - who knows - Sony isn't talking.

Sony's Playstation Network is down, and it may not come back up for a couple of days, according to the official Playstation Blog. "While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we're able to get the service completely back up and running," Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold wrote. Europe's Playstation blog previously said the company was investigating "the possibility of targeted behavior by an outside party," but that message has since been removed. Hacking group Anonymous, which attacked Sony's servers earlier this month, claims no involvement. Talk about terrible timing. This week saw the launch of Mortal Kombat, Portal 2 and SOCOM 4, all of which have an online component. SOCOM 4 is a Playstation 3 exclusive geared mainly towards online play, and includes big incentives to buy the game new. In addition to disabling online play, the PSN outage affects the Qriocity music service, Netflix, MLB.tv and any other service requiring a PSN login.

Anon have said it's not them. Why would it take Sony 2 days to repair it. Maybe there were so many people trying to play Socom that it went down.

Actually it was down for half a day in March. This guy's videos are pretty funny, he's also the reason for 80% of the noob tubers out there as he is the guy that got 'the worlds fastest nuke' (33.3 seconds) in mw2.

I don't know all the in's and out's but some of their beefs seems legit.

Once I shell out my hard earned cash for a PS3 that PS3 should be mine to do with what I want. I should be allowed to hack it, smash it, paint it red etc etc. Sony should be allowed to void my warranty and ban me from the free PSN service but they should NOT be allowed to prosecute me.

I own a new Toyota truck, I can lift it, paint it, put a canopy on it, put rims and oversized tires on it. I can even put up a youtube video teaching others how to do it. It may void my warranty and the warranty of others that follow my lead, but Toyota won't slap me with a lawsuit!!! Cause the truck belongs to ME, how is the Playstation any different?

I'm just playing devils advocate. I had plans to play BO's with friends tonight so this pretty much blows!!

Problem with this hack is that it dosnt effect playstation it effects the users. People that dont own the system have no clue about this and would prob not change there mind on which system to purchase.

With all the reviews and stuff for games why would you burn them? Your only making them put all there shit online for dlc which is bs.

If it has been hacked it means nothing to me in regards to being a playstation owner as I find there consoles and tech to be alot better. Just makes me think that the hackers tried to target playstation but alot of us just think they are cheap ass punk bitches.
