PSN down 21/04/2011

Store is back up but it's not working properly yet. I can't get Infamous to start downloading.

Edit: Got it working after a few tries. You have to select PS3 game 1 first then the game you want. Infamous is 7.056GB if anyone is getting that. I'm going to get Dead Nation as well. I will activate PS+ later in June so I have access to Uncharted 3 beta early.

Yeah the servers are getting hammered once again I'm sure, everyone wants their free game...

I got Dead Nation as my second choice but WipEout HD didn't show up in my download list. But it used my first voucher

Try this...

Go to the XMB and under the PlayStation Network column, go to Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to download the game for that first slot.

I guess the free games are per PSN account?

I took dead nation and infamous ... kinda sweet because i've never played either and i think there is an infamous 2 coming out.

Grr my store is giving me errors, activated plus and can get the rental movies but no games or the theme yet.

Is this only for PSN accounts that were active before the outage? Or if I create a new PSN account now (free isn't it?) even though I don't own a PS3 yet, would i stiil have access to those games if I ever did buy a ps3? Seems like I should use a friends ps3 to create a PSN account, just for the 2 free games?

Or are they worthless and not worth the hassle?

The welcome back package is only for accounts that were created before the PSN outage. So creating a new account now would not be able to get you access to the 2 free games. On a side note, you don't need a PS3 to create a PSN account either, you can sign up for one online from your Internet browser.

If at any point you can’t find the ‘Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2’ products, the list of available titles or a game you’ve selected, go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to complete the process

Remember, if you have multiple accounts you can essentially get all the games

I forgot my e-mail and password to my alternate account, I wonder if all future PSN accounts will have access to the free games as well does anyone know?

i got 2 from US and 2 from EU. but i couldn't get into my JP account

Looks like those two have the highest ratings. Just got LBP and started inFamous. Downloading pretty fast. LBP was done < 20mins.
