spectators are $10 again this year, if you want to watch the south area of the course bring a lawn chair or something to sit on as there is only a giant berm to spectate from

there should be some time for both grip and drift drivers to lap the entire course. It seems like you have this setup in mind which should attract more grip cars out... I know I'll be there if you run a setup similar to this

yeah, if we get a good spread of drivers i would like to do something similar to...

advanced lapping group (high power, experienced)

beginner lapping group (first time guys, slow cars)

    drift group

then we would send out one group at a time, 5 laps or so for the grip guys, 3 or so for drift since they are slower. for distance between drivers it will come down to the individuals and what they are comfortable with.

for drifting tandem is possible if the drivers agree and are both caged. if not then the gap will be about half a course length between drivers so if someone does loop it will not effect the next driver.

Rhys is the one with the lapping experience so once he is back from the UK we will get a solid plan going with that as i have never ran such an event.

but i think something like the above should keep everyone happy, cool down time is always good! no one wants to hot lap for 5 hours straight anyway

but like i said, open to suggestions. but whatever we do it will be determined a week before. once this first practice is done we will have a much better idea on our demographic and adjust accordingly

I dont think the high/low power will work that great splitting up drivers. New drivers with high power cars or experienced drivers with low power cars will confuse everything. Having first timers, people that have tracked before and experienced drivers would be better imo.

Also, I think it'd help if between sessions we could get voulnteers to go out and clean the track. I think after the drifters go out there might be rubber/dirt everywhere. If im way off base my bad.

For drivers who never hit the road course (but did auto-cross) is there a sit down that can be arranged with another driver who has run the course to familiarize the course? Or a walk around the track?

We will of course be having a drivers meeting to go over the rules and what is to be expected. Walking the course may be a little time consuming as it is pretty long, but of course we never want to see anyone pushing themselves beyond their limits so feel free to take an easy couple of laps to familiarize yourself with the track.
