Default Need a new office chair

Well guys, my last desk chair shit the bed and Staples won't honour my warranty saying it's the chair companies job, the chair company says it's Staples job. I am tired of dealing with both parties and need to replace this 7 month old chair.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to get a new fucking chair? Haha preferably not breaking the bank? (probably not happening but still)

Remember I sit in this thing 8 hours a day.

I could try it but I can see it getting annoying all day everyday to be honest with you. Yes they are healthier but if I am dreading "sitting" at the desk everyday would I get anything done?

All depends on budget. Costco has some decently priced good office chairs, last time I checked they also sell herman miller chairs.

Depending on the duty cycle of your sitting ass you may find the Costco chairs don't hold up so great.

Jysk had some on sale a while ago that were comfy as hell. Not sure if there is anything there still.

Homesence has some once in a while too for cheap.

Ikea, I bought the managers chair from there and its great. Imo costco stuff is cheap, had a desk from there and it fell apart in two years.

Get a copy of the warranty and see who is to replace it before trying to buy a new one...

Herman Miller Aeron is the only thing I'd recommend. I went through so many crap chairs from Costco, Staples, and god knows where else. You'll pay more up front for sure, but they last forever and the comfort is unbeatable and they'll outlast the other chairs by a long shot as they're built extremely well.

There are many chairs out there that surpass the comfort and ergonomics of the Aeron. The Aeron is a nice chair but its been out since 1994. The key is to try a few different models out. A fully ergonomic chair of any quality will run you betwwen $550 - $1500.

Don't ever buy an Aeron from Coastco because Herman Miller will not warranty it. If you have to get an Aeron make sure you get the right size. They come in three sises. A,B and C. B will work for most people. C size for the taller people. You can check the size of the chair by running you finger under the top of the back support to feel for 1, 2 or 3 bumps. 2 bumps is a B size chair.

Other chairs to consider is you want a really good one:

The Herman Miller Mirra chair isn't bad either and at a better price point but it is one of those chairs you either love it od hate it. It just fits different.

    Wasn't the Aeron recently updated?

Is COI the only place to get Herman Miller?

I've always wanted an Aeron or Humanscale Freedom Chair.
