    Default Found: Samsung Galaxy S

Yesterday while at work I found a like new Samsung Galaxy S phone. The battery is completely dead so I haven't been able to turn it on to find contact info.

The phone was found just off Elbow Drive, south of Glenmore. If you can identify the case/provider/phone number, contact me to come pick up your phone.

I'm going to try to locate a charger in the next couple days as well. If you know someone who lost their phone, pass this info along. Hope to get it back to the owner...

Any micro USB will work to charge it. Curious tho, how would you know the phone number without being able to turn it on....

I figure whoever comes to claim it can bring their charger and prove it's their's by phoning it. I have no idea what the number is.

I would turn it into the police if I were you, let them deal with it. Unless you really want to go through the effort of charging it and tracking down whom ever it belongs to.

shudn't be hard. Unless the phone is locked, there shud be enough personal info on the device to locate the individual. if not just mass text his contact list saying you found this phone and tell them to contact the individual

    +1 for honest person!

I've got a galaxy S, you could probably use my battery (I think they all use the same battery) and power it up then check for any phone numbers labelled "home", or just call some people from the address book to see if they know whose phone it is. I work downtown from ~7:30-4:30 if you are also down here I can probably meet up for a bit to help out.

Dropping it off at the police pretty much guarantees that it will never be used again.

Also an option, open the back cover and check what brand the SIM card is, take it to any store for that carrier (carrier store only, not future shop or places like that) and they should get it back to the owner since they should also have an alternate contact number for them or an address to send a letter to.

You would think, however i have known people in the industry to take the phones and sell them. Or make one call and if no one answers they toss it or keep it. Its shitty but happens.

Your best bet is to just turn it on and start calling numbers. Or if certain programs are installed just turning it on will allow the owner to track it and contact you.

Any Android charger or the newer BlackBerry charger will work. They all use microUSB. I would power it up and if it's not locked, send an email to the gmail account that's set up.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

    This.

I just want to make sure it gets back to the rightful owner. I could drop it off at the police, but same thing... don't know if it will ever find it's way home.

I pulled the sim and will head to the carrier on Monday.

Back in December I found a guy's Iphone and he was so very appreciative I returned it. I didn't return it expecting to receive a reward or anything, more so just to hear someone say thank you and genuinely mean it.

Thank you. I never understood why people type out a word such as "individual" but can't fucking spell SHOULD. Screw the pussification of Canada, this is The Retardification of Canada we have amongst us.

I get that code texting was somewhat needed for lazy people that had less than T9 text abilities, pre smart phone full keyboard, but now it just makes the person look 12 or dumb.

Anyways.....so you would think the US would have learned from Megatron before dumping Osama in the Ocean.
