    Default Podiatrist recommendation?

Preferably in the central south area. My arches have been killing me lately, and occasionally when I kneel down, it feels like a thousand little fibers are ripping on the inner side of it.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Sorry, NW in Market Mall but I highly recommend him. Only had to see him once, he didn't push for more appointments, called me a few days after to follow up with me over the phone, offered to write me medical notes for work, great guy. He's not listed on the website but I'm not sure if he was last year, when I saw him, either.

Dr. Brent Haverstock. He's chief of podiatric surgery for the Calgary Health Region and an easy guy to deal with.

He appears to require a referral. Thanks though.

I know his website has a doc referral form but I am almost certain that you could schedule an appointment with him without one. Perhaps a quick call to his office to confirm if you're interested.

I've heard Dr.Mann at this place is good:
    http://www.achillesfootclinic.com/index.php

Dr. Unger has a south location you could try:

If neither of those work, then there is always this:

I went to Heritage Family Foot Clinic. They used a laser thingy to get orthotic insoles made. First set lasted me 6 years, just got my 2nd set last month. Initial visit was $40, insoles were $600.

I'm about to go and get some treatment myself. 2 people recommended Orthotics in Motion in the south, they have several locations, so will be checking them out soon.

I'm less concerned with getting orthotics and more with the more "medical" stuff.

I went to Dr. Lalani at Alpine Foot & Ankle Clinic based on strong recommendations in another similar thread, and if I recall, one of the recommendations came from another doctor. I didn't end up needing orthotics but the experience was very positive.

He does all the other "medical" stuff too and specializes in reconstructive surgery.

Just got a cost for orthotics and was a bit surprised at the $600 number I received, but I guess that's the going rate these days. Did they give you a discount on your second set?

Yeah, if I ordered a second set within 3 months I think, there's a discount.
