It was wierd. Perfect Star Emeralds went on discount last week for some reason. Got down to just under 2Mil and last night was back a 5.5M. Should have bought a couple more I guess.

I would just do the math to see which one is currently cheaper. Gems have been cheaper to buy lately than to make but prices have gone back up again.

I think most of the Perfect and Radiant star gem patterns go for 500k or so. You can always buy them instead of waiting for them to drop for you.

I had the best pickup today ever

at paragon level 37, found 2 legs and 1 set in under 1 hour (2 runs)

a 35m IK belt and a 60m Lucanic Prowler

talk about legs dropping like the new lvl63

had 4 drops in 5 run today. each run is about 30m

should i get more life or dmg ?
when i crit, i do 200k.

what you need is Life steal, and also 40% cc and 400% cd.

was at about 800m gold last week until I started using my brother's account to play his barb and dropped 300m on it. and no I did not buy any gold out of my pocket which is a very nice feeling that keeps me coming back

I on the other hand haven't touched Diablo 3 since Guild Wars 2 came out.

Phsssh, I try not to go above $500k in gold stash. Been playing a monk lately and got to Act 3 Inferno so far, and just killing it with 38k DPS with no monster power. Gear is so cheap if you're playing without monster power. I've got < 1M in gear (a lot of < 20k gold pieces) and I'm just mowing through everything.

After the monk, I'm looking to play the wizard, then I'd have all five classes past Inferno. Once that happens I'll start looking into increasing monster power and maybe hardcore. Played D2 on and off for 10 years, looking forward to many more with D3 hehe.

Finally got past Inferno with the Monk and Wizard now too. Even did Inferno on MP 1 while playing the Wizard.

Not sure what's next... probably pick my favorite character and slow make my way to MP 10 or try my hand at hardcore. I don't think I'll go the route of playing both male and female of each class though.

Well, I decided to make a hardcore Monk. Had a lot of fun with it and got it to 60 last night. Finished Hell this morning and had a chance to do Mp1 act1. I got up to when you get out of the front gates, killed an elite mob and got a windforce! Amazing, right? So I put it in my stash and continue going. Take a few steps into a white mob. Down to 40% or so life, and bam! Everything just...stops...

I check my net connection and it seems as though the laptop i am using lost its connection. (Does it frequently but only after i leave a game i have to /release and /renew).

So I do the /release and /renew...comes back up. I sign on thinking 3 or 4 zombies couldn't POSSIBLY do that much to me...

On the plus side, just progressing through the game and AH'ing damn near every yellow I find with a primary stat and either vit or +xp, I've come up with 1.25 mil gold AFTER I geared my monk to be able to handle mp1 act1..

heard rumors the next patch will have new gear (seems the economy believes it) as gold value went from .29 back up to 0.40 a million

its much more harder to sell even good items in the last week and a half.

Finally found my first trifecta ring and a set ring both around 200m in value. My previous best items were merely 60m. Sitting at paragon 66 and 600hrs on my wiz

recently tried a new archon hybrid build which is gaining popularity and it breathed in life into my wiz. Now I dont panic when I am out of archon as it is literally takes seconds to recharge back up. Now I can farm mp8 without fear

I've returned to D3 after a long Guild Wars 2 session, and re-geared my blizz/hydra wiz to an archon build. Mind posting your build/equipment?

For now I'm only doing mp0/1 runs, but me too poor for the uber leet gears.

the setup I have is for mp7+, if you run mp6 or lower, you can go glass cannon and Acrane Dynamo passives and Force weapon rune.

I am using energy armor - pin point to make up for the lack of cc I have for higher mp.

I read that to hit mp8+ you need

700-800 AR
4300 armor+
275k dps unbuffed
45%cc
2.0AS

The one thing i am lacking is cc, as I only have about 38%, 51% with follower and pin point buff

This built is great, as I can have fun being a CM without killing my fingers and constantly in Archon mode and the recharge is insanely fast. Best part is that you do not need any APOC gear

My plan is to slowly upgrade when possible, while working on my Paragon level. Hopefully I'll pick up some nice items along the way.

^ not bad, you will have plenty of gear to upgrade where as for me all the upgrade I look at are into the 100m+

if the theory holds true, if you havent been playing a whole lot, you may find a very good drop. Blizz's way of trying to recapture player's interest.

also try to get as high of a paragon as you can, the quality of loot in terms of value (for me anyways) seems to follow on how high of a level your at. The higher = the better the loot imo.
