Finally hit a big drop a few days back with a lacuni prowler that sold for 400m as well as crafted a trifecta glove dex and armor.

all of which I was at paragon lvl 70 farming mp7. It might have something to do with gear score and paragon lvl. I am now also seeing 1000+ dps swords with socket, where as my first 600 hours had nothing.

Starting to be able to kill elites in Act 3 MP5 without too much dying. Current stats on the barb:
~2000 str
~1000 vit
42k hp
118k dps buffed with battle rage

ranged guys completely kicks my ass until I can isolate some of them

Not bad with full NV stacks and mp2 I've found a few legendarys and some other stuff. Not a single item I have used or needed though. Made about $50 in real money on items.

Update:
A new patch has been released on the Public Test Realm with PvP dueling mode available, and a bunch of other updates (Wizards and Monks got buffed).

It won't go live for several weeks (probably), but the PTR client can be downloaded through your D3 Blizz webpage account if you guys want to try it now.

Looks like in terms of pvp right now the tiers are

DH = WD
Monk
Barb
Wizard

I wonder what the placements will be by the time it's all said and done.


I'll be pretty choked if they make skill adjustments based off a loose Free-For-All pvp system.


If you're a WD one of the stongest PVP set ups right now is

Grasp of the dead with 80% slow rune
Hex with Hedge Magic
and Corpse spiders with leaping spiders rune.

Sprit walk renders you completely invisible to other players for the entire dration. During that time they can only see where your attacks are coming from.

Spirit Barrage with Well of souls runs seems to be very very effective also.

I've seen some WD's bait purpously lock themselves in a corner and send out the stream of bears. Pretty much everyone who doesn't play WD, expects the bears to come out in a wave of spread out bears, and are completely oblivious to the fact you can concentrate all 3 bears to a single line just by having your back to the wall.

while I finally have a WD at lvl60, my gear is so crappy. I have a thing to only use self found gear for my WD, a 50m max budget per slot for my monk and about 200m/slot for my wiz which I still love and enjoy.

Bukka: what gear spec do I need to get my WD into pvp shape? i picked up a soj 29% -9 charger reduction just incase prices rises due to (many are selling their wiz/barb for monk/dh/wd)

blizz came out saying elite bonus will apply to human but current PTY isnt working properly

It'll most likely be spirit barrage soj's that take over, with Corpse Spiders Uhkapien serpents

Cold Sojs with highish damage to elites is what every barb should have.

I keep finding frostburn and I dropped 15 in a pub game and they all went nuts lol

A bit late on the news but you can pre-order the Console Versions now. release is in Sept.

Buuuuut, there is no cross platform play between PC/Xbox/Ps3.

I'll just buy it since I don't PC game any more and this is the one big game that I missed out on in pc.

I'd like to say rent it first.... but thats pretty much impossible now.

Honestly after you beat it once, you likely won't play it again. The story isn't intriguing and the item grind isn't what d2 is at all.

I just hope they avoid the pc issues and fixed it for consoles.

I think one of the biggest problems I read is the economy and prices since they introduced "real money" to buy stuff. And crafted equipment is more often at par or even more powerful than the rare items.

We'll see how it goes, I assume there would be next to nil in terms of bots farming and selling items so hopefully economy wise it would be better

Is there PVP yet? I may consider this expansion if it adds something like the uber levels in D2 and PVP.

If its only a new class and act, then just some more disappointment for me.

Not out of the loop, just funny that people still have to ask "Is a core part of the game implemented yet? Or will it become available after I purchase this expansion pack? Oh, we don't know yet?"

The fact that they haven't mentioned PvP yet is scary.

I'm gonna pre-order this, no doubt about it. I'm retarded like that. But expectations are low :P
