Default Why do thieves have to break the most expensive window?

    ARRRGGGHHH.......

Fucking little shits. Why is it they have to break the most expensive fucking window on the truck? Break the one beside it and it would only cost me around $250. They broke this one and its $750 installed!!!!!

Little bastards didn't even take anything other than a beach bag that the wife uses for her tanning stuff. Just once, in my life, I'd love to catch a little bastard in the act.

I feel you, this happened to me once. They broke the side beside the bushes and stole my stereo, after I had been in an accident. Thieves.

No. Wifey was in Fish Creek with the dog and our son yesterday. The one at the east end of Canyon Meadows Dr. Came back to find that. Guess you could say we were lucky. We always leave the keys in the console, and her purse was in there too. They didn't bother to look. Also, I normally have about $3,000 worth of camera gear in the car, but not that day. whew.
I think from now on, we'll just leave it unlocked, with nothing in there.

Aha sadly this actually sounds like a good idea, until you attract a person who tares up your console trying to steal the car.

Fuck sakes, I plan on going there tomorrow. That exact entrance haha.

Thankfully my car is old and I have nothing valuable.

I should leave an Xbox box in my back seat and wait with my vicious terrier

That will happen whether its locked or not.

But I'm thinking of making a "bait car". Put something in there, and hide a video cam and then sit back in the field with binoculars. Ohhhhhh I'd enjoy that day!!

Shitty, I have parked there with some expensive stuff in the trunk quite a few times. I should probably reconsider that next time :/

One cannot have anything in a vehicle these days, not a fucking dime, nothing. I fear leaving my dog in my car while I go in and pay for my gasoline.

A bait car with a remote blue dye spray would be nice, a little acid would only make my day a tad better.

Did you try Cal-Alta Glass? They are really cheap for windshields, worth a call. 403-252-5050 in the south west and 403-291-7020 in the north east.

On my list of things to worry about my car when unattended:

    1. Door dings
    2. Break-in, not much about shit getting stolen, more about damage to the car
    3. Hail

Door dings and break-ins are easily fixed (assuming just broken glass).

Hail is my biggest worry, because A) There's typically 10x more hail dents then door dings, and 2) There's always thousands of other cars needing hail damage repair at the same time.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

They broke that particular window because it makes the least amount of noise when broken, and the lock knobs right on the other side. Ebays probably your best bet for finding a used window.

Hasn't been a good week for you has it Dave? (Heater, window)

Maybe they thought they were doing you a favour by breaking the smallest one.

I'm with ya though - just once I'd love to catch someone in the act. Don't think they are all "little bastards" though - the guy who broke into my truck at my house was 30. (And Italian... so you know the chest hair was just bursting from his shirt...)
