Default Lowering Springs Rusty - can it be fixed?

    Hello,

Hopefully I am posting in the right thread...

I have a set if used Eibach Pro-Kit.
There is some surface rust. So, I was thinking to sand down the rust spots and painting the said rust spot(s).

I have engine enamel and caliper paint and rust paint....

Is there anything I can do for these?

Figured I'd ask the 'pros' - as well if this in the wrong section please move...

    TIA
    Cheers,
    -Ding

are they not coated with a plastic covering? if so you could peal that off pretty easy... if they are painted you might have to soda blast them to get all the old paint off since sanding them would be a pita... i dunno, doesnt seem worth while quick coat of tremclad might be the best bet

because the springs flex, eventually the paint wit=ll flake off, but its good for what you want to do for a "for now" thing.

Is there anything I can do in the future - or for the future of these?

I figured the flexing would cause issues.

    All ideas experiences welcome.

I'd just leave it be. It won't cause any adverse affects on the performance of the springs. Really if you can see your springs you probably aren't low enough.

Not about seeing them at all. I'm no Ballllllaaaaaa

But, I'd like to try to stop the 'bleeding' so to speak.

Probably best to get some Plastidip to re-coat them. It's tough and flexible.
