Walk home for lunch...Have some nitrate fury hot dogs, and jump around the living room to "Video killed the radio star".
I still miss the 80's.

The 80's were good, the whole two years of them which I existed during them, yep!
Are you sure you miss the 80's ?
I'm sure glad I don't:
Calgary is so much like an iphone: iCalgary - There's a bylaw for that.
The decade of "action ballads"
I remember this reaching #1 on many radio charts
Also, afaik, this and Days of Thunder are the last movies that Tom Cruise made before he converted to scientology, so there are memories there for that, before he was a psycho :P

This is going to be a very long thread. The 80's was so awesome in terms of everything other than fashion and hair styles.
Remember in the 80's when wrestling didn't seem so fake?
one of my favorite songs. from 1990, but close enough.
Boosted life tip #329
Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money
Both make whining noises
Make the smart choice.

This was the #1 song the week I was born.
This was the family vehicle of choice in the 80's, our family had the exact same model/colour as this one, woodgrain and wire wheels! I learned to dive in it, 114hp 4cyl in a heavy ass 7 passenger van FTW!
80's were good to me. Graduated in '81. Married in '84 and first son born in '86. I remember listening to this new "artist" and wondering if she would stick around or just be a one-hit-wonder. Rolling around on the floor in her first video....with only one name...Madonna.

Then for Christmas, you got one of these, swapped out the stock dude with your favorite G.I Joe figure and spent hours tossing the thing into the wind and asking the neighbours if they could get it from their roof.Originally posted by freshprince1

Ha, I still have both of those, well except mine is a Tandy 1000a.. Complete with 40 meg hard drive that just by itself cost about 1800.00 or so in 1985 ish..
Scary thing is I can still fit in pants I had in the 80's.. Not that I am going to dig out my rugby pants and wear them.. But I have some 501's from the 80's along with a set of desert boots still.
We always use to laugh at the rocker/stoner people stuck in the 70's or even the 60's but we tend to identify with the era that we had the most fun in. I still love 80's music and still have an 80's hair do, so probably all the kids find me funny now to.
