Off duty cop means not a cop. At that time he is a normal person.

Yes. Just like a ninja in street clothes isn't a ninja.
Goalie fights are lame, but everything else looks pretty solid.
Hope the Jets are included

Stanced cars look retarted anyways.
Checks into the bench, finally!!!! Looks damn good.
Wish they were still supporting PC.
I think your missing the point. its BizNasty2point0 hahah
For me the one detail that would be great that they still haven't developed is an interactive bench. More a realism feature than anything. But to me it takes something away when all the players on the bench just stare straight ahead all the time. When you score that crazy overtime goal or make a tying goal in the last minute the bench should celebrate as well. Nope they just stare straightahead, they don't even follow the play at least have them do that!
winnipeg team in the game !
Meh. NHL 09>*
They just keep adding troublesome features that don't add anything to the experience
Every check the helmets will fall off and every check in the boards there will be a stoppage of play for broken glass. Also are they fucking dense? The fighting is fucking stupid
All the features I have seen in this new trailer will make playing OTP even longer than it already is.
Right now in NHL 11 with the goons that play in OTP, a game can already last over half an hour.
These features look cool for versus, but for OTP or EASHL club games it looks like an endless amount of cheese and exploits.
I'm predicting Kesler or the Sedin sisters for the cover too.

Oh we'll all probably buy it.
Goalie fights were in NHL 04
Breaking the glass was in NHL 04
I like the idea of crashing the net but its gonna be too much work.
Also I hope they add suspensions in BAP/Be a GM mode. I'll check a guy from behind, get the 5 min major and ejection and the guy's good to go for the next game.
Looks fun, i just hope you can control the frequency that all the new features happen. I do not want broken glass with every big check into the boards etc. I cant remember the last time i saw glass shatter while watching a live game.

I am fairly certain there are sliders to change many things in offline games. Online i think its just default.
Demo is out
The demo feels pretty good, so far, though I think OTP is going to be a shit show with goalie interference.
The skating is super improved, feels like there is actually weight to players now. Puck physics seem to be better, hitting is WAY better in terms of realism, and I like the fact that both players can fall now, it will allow for a lot more strategy and positional play, and weed out the goons.
My biggest positive for this game seems to be the improved AI. I really like that they anticipate the play now. I have played maybe 10-15 games in HUT mode, and the AI on both sides feels a lot better.
Example. I set offensive strategy to crash the net, I made the computer turn over the puck in their zone, and Corey Perry speed burst like mad to the front of the net as soon as I took possession and got in perfect position for a one timer in front of the net, finally a "wow" moment.
Example 2.
I don't know if it is by chance or what, but I got Iginla and Cammellerri in one of the HUT mode card packs. I'm not sure if EA did this intetionally (probably not), but Cammelleri was always hovering around the spot he scored most of his goals when he was on Calgary, but about the top of the circle. I passed with Iginla from about the left face off circle to Cammelleri for a one timer top right corner. Another "wow" moment.
Another thing to note, is that on penalty shots or break aways (I have had about 5 or 6 so far) it seems like the 100% goal of forehand to back hand shoot, is not viable anymore. I did not score a single time using this method, while in NHL 11 it was a guaranteed goal. Nice to see they took note of this. (The breakaways were with Stamkos, Zetteberg, Iginla, Perry, Malkin so the deke stat should have been fairly high)
I feel like overall NHL 12 is a much needed upgrade to NHL 11. The flow of the game is much more NHL like, and the new features like individual stat map for goals, shots, hits, and coach tasks in be a pro are pretty cool.
I have played about 3000 EASHL games since NHL 09 on a fairly competitive elite club, and I am SO HAPPY they have decided to include dual builds for EASHL/OTP. This means that you can have one for offense and one for defense so you no longer have to play forward with your defender if you weren't quick enough to chose defense. I am not sure if they will allow 2 for offense or 2 for defense, but I hope that is the case so I can quickly switch to compliment team mates playstyles.
TLDR: NHL 12 feels more realistic than any EA NHL game before it. If you haven't bothered to buy an EA NHL game in a few years, this one is worth checking out
