Planning to be out of the country for about a month and looking for a place to leave the pet. Anyone know of a good pet hotel in town I can consider? Thanks.

Personally I use Pet Planet in the SE and never had any issues.
Sheraton Suites Eau Claire has a dog in the lobby...
So, id imagine they'd be pretty pet friendly
Probably pretty pricey though

OP, personally I suggest looking for a dog daycare, and use it a couple of times a week for several weeks before you actually leave. That way your dog is used to the people, and facility. As in the other thread, I suggest BowDog, just off Glenmore, and Fairmount Dr.

Great group of ladies, they love what they do.
I think he has a cat if that changes your guys' suggestions.
Leave it at home and get someone to feed it every second day?
My cat loves when no one bothers her, I'm sure she would love to have the house to herself for a month.
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
if its a cat i suggest having someone one visit every couple days feed water clean litter.
I'd be willing to do this for you depending where you live.
My cat loves being alone too...with the furniture lol. That's why we need to leave him somewhere this time around.Originally posted by FraserB

Shameless Plug / necro for a good friend's dog daycare Sleep Rover.
They're renovating and finishing up a new much more spacious location near their old location and they're awesome.
Here's some info on the stuff they've been working on lately regarding their new location, and additionally they've got a referral program going on for some nice bonus perks.

Bees Knees Pet Care. Just 1 lady, she works out of home. Can either come to your place to check on the cat or you can leave your cat with her as I did. I preferred it over legitimate businesses because the cat will get a full bedroom with time during the day to roam about the house, as oppose to the smaller boxed up areas the others provide.
Very dedicated, spent a lot of time time with my cat, daily pictures can provided if you like. Cheap rate too, I think it was like $15/day for boarding with discounts for long term.
