    Fettucini Alfredo?

Tell him to expand his palate a bit. The best your going to get in this city is super heavy and creamy alfredo sauce that has nothing else but cheese and cream. If he likes Italian and its his birthday, take him out to Mercato. He'll love you for that. I think it would be hard to find any "exotic chicken alfredo", until it doesnt become chicken alfredo anymore, if you know what I mean.

I really like chiantis. And I think it's mondays and tuesdays ( I forget exact day of the week) they have pasta night and it's under 10 dollars for a dish of pasta.

On a side note, Chicken fettuccine Alfredo is pretty far away from being exotic.

First OG from someone and than Chaintis...please people if you want decent italian go to a NON chain place... As someone from italian decent...it pisses me off when people think chain italian food is good.

LOL, Olive Garden is TERRIBLE. it's like the Swiss Chalet of italian food. i suppose it's a good place to bring young families full of screaming kids, but adults certainly shouldn't want to be dining there.

I don't know about the fettucini alfredo specifically but Fiore on 17th Ave SW and 6th Street I believe had good italian food and a nice atmosphere.

I don't give a shit if you're Italian. Tastes good to me so I go. When people think of Chinese food, they think of sweet and sour pork and ginger beef yet you don't see me raging.

La Viena is a pretty cheap place for Italian and the food is actually quite good.

Isn't it common knowledge that the best gwai-lo chinese food is stuff chinese people never eat?

I thought Green Olive on 68th St NE was really good, been awhile since I've been there though. I don't think it's a chain either.

Chianti's is not bad. It's cheap and filling. You get what you pay for applies here.

    I've always liked Buon Giorno's but that's around $20.
