Default LF: someone that can drill metal

i'm trying to make a custom hitch for my trailer because there is nothing available for it. i have one fabbed up from a buddy but the holes are drilled in the wrong spot... he didn't even drill where i marked on the steel...

anyway, i'd really like to finish this thing and was hoping someone could help me maybe enlarge the holes or something. i will probably need 2-4 holes enlarged.

they are currently .5" and will need to be enlarged by .25" so my u-bolts will fit.

let me know if someone could do this and how much you would charge.

    thanks.

go to home depot, they have a drill set for drilling through metal. I used it on my trunk door when i had to redo my lic. plate. Worked great and easy.

If you mark your hole centers, i can punch them for you. What diameter are you after, so i can check my punch inventory.

I ran into a similar problem with my trailer. I had to drill 2 holes through 2x2 square steel. I used a step bit. I used a punch to get it started and used the step bit to achieve the required size. I was amazed at how fast the step bit ate through the steel.

A step bit may suit your needs as well.
