Nissan Leaf Nismo RC to drive Le Mans demonstration event.

In mid-May, the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC took to the track for a shakedown. Come late next week, the electric racer will return for more on-track action.

Nissan has just announced that the Leaf Nismo RC will hit the tarmac during the "Le Mans vers le futur," a demonstration event that will take place prior to the 79th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Nissan Leaf Nismo RC will hit the track for two demonstration runs; the first on Thursday, June 9 and the second on Saturday, June 11.

Anyone care to calculate how many laps the production leaf would complete of the 24 hours race? Charge duration is a BiTCH.

Just demo run. Would be surprised if it actually do more than a couple lap at top speed.

The only way this car can last 24hr is having multiple battery pack that can be swapped on the fly. Even then, too many pit time to be competitive.

Did a quick excell sheet on it lol.
the production car can run about 100 laps on the dot in 24 hrs,
that's assuming very high efficiency....
not taking into account braking/accelerating/tire pit/any pitting at all, just top speed constantly,
and having a full charge at first and 30 minute quick charges thereafter with 80% charges.... lol im bored at work

it would obviously do much, much less with real factors considered.
