Ok, so engine is pulled.....took two hours...damn im getting good at this.

So, did a leakdown....and im floored. I flogged the fuck out of this thing all summer at 400 whp, and im PRETTY sure it ate part of the turbine wheel from the twins, and STILL, it only showed between 5 and 10% leakdown. Im damn impressed, this thing is tuff as nails.

So, on another note, holset is up for sale. 400$ FIRM, i just had it rebuilt mid summer at alamo.

440cc side feed aristo injectors, 150$ FIRM. They were working great....

More to come as i get it on the engine stand tonight.

Welp, i was wrong. Pulled the head off and low and behold scored cylinder on #5. I guess the impeller shrapnel did wound it.

Trying to find a stock bottom end to run for this year, the block will be my builder for the winter.

anybody know anybody with a good 2jz bottom end?

    *sadface*

    Goodbye valiant warrior.

Got a great condition bottom end. Let the build continue. I pick up the head from precise tomorrow, and drop of my flywheel.

Well, took some time today to install the beehive springs and retainers, and clean up a few parts.

Here is a side by side, stock on the right, beehive on the left

Here is a comparison of the titanium retainer on the right vs stock on the left.

A bunch installed on the exhaust side

Best tool EVER. if you need to do a JZ head, you NEED this tool. Its the valvemaster by Toyotools. Worth the 100$

AAAAAND the new baby eater arrived....mmmm large and in charge

Thats all for now, painting parts and waiting for a few orings from toyota so i can re-assemble everything.

Took a bit of time to day to prep the surfaces for gaskets, and paint a bunch of the parts. Getting a few o-rings from toyota on monday and then i can start on assembly.

    Block painted

Surface prepped for head gasket. Not decking, so got it nice and clean. Head is decked.

Made use of some screws and hung my parts from the ceiling. Pardon the mess, i really get carried away sometimes.

Well POOP!!! Was going to get the timing all set up tonight, but one of my cam gears guide holes is too damn big. Waiting on new ones now *sadface*

    Can you spot the problem?

But, i did get the cams and buckets in, and get it all torqued down. I seem to have misplaced my feeler gauges...so borrow the work set tomorrow to check clearances before proceeding.

    Crappy night

You shouldn't have a problem getting your money back. Make sure you open an "item not as described" case on Ebay, as well as the one with Paypal you opened. Ebay is pretty good at protecting buyers if you take the proper steps.

Yah, they had me send them back...and im getting a refund...but what pisses me off is this. I paid shipping in that price that's getting refunded, and they are refunding that, but I am responsible for shipping back to them, which puts me 20$ out of pocket....all because they sent me a defective product.....how the fuck is that fair.

whatever, ordered obx ones. they look a lot nicer.

If they screwed up, I tell them i'll ship back at their expense as it was their mistake, otherwise i'm keeping the product... If they want it back or their money, they'll pay
