Nice and clean! Do I spy a conventional hose clamp amongst those t-bolts?

I wish my build was this far along.

OK!! So maybe not quite done. LoL that coupler is temporary. I need to get a 2.75 to 3" reducer and a 2.75" vband clamp (=

Well, this is what it used to sound like.... (=

It should still sound like that, maybe a bit more corked because the exhaust isnt fucked. My old exhaust had a big hole in the resonator and blew all the stuffing out of the housing...so it sounded crappy.

It does, and surprisingly, its actually not out of control. I dont know what i did right setting up the suspension, but it works. It only goes squirrely when i ask it to. Maybe its how the turbo makes power...i can mash it in second, and only chirp into third and so on.

That could change if i go EFR.....thats a completly different beast.

On a side note, thank you Beyond.ca for all of your kind comments. It really pushes me to strive for better, and keep pushing the envelope, getting better and cleaner as i go. Im very happy to be a part of this great community.

Looking good, do the EFR! Spools quick as hell and you would get some decent power out of it

Great build, excellent attention to detail. Engine bay looks immaculate. What's the power at now?

The power is the same as it was last year, 502 whp, 446 ftlb of torque. This exorcise was all about cleaning it up, and learning a few things along the way. I wanted to incorperate some sort of milspec connector, which i did, and so far it seems to work quite well. Its got way more amperage rating than the tiny ones in the milspec connectors that you get from chase bays, and at 1/4 the price. One thing that ive been trying to change about myself, is my lack of patience, and believe me that changed with this part of my build. I forced myself to take my time and do things right, and not get rushy. That will carry on to my customer's builds as well. Strive to do better.

Also, this was my first time doing a chase bays style harness, with the PET cable cover and shrink tube, and i think it turned out really well. You would really be surprised in the amount of extra planning it takes to do it that way. I cant count how many times i fucked up and forgot to put the heat shrink on before i pinned the connector, and then its like FUCK now i gotta depin the connector, get the shrink back on, repin the connector, etc.... Its very different from standard split loom as far as difficulty. I guess thats why chase bays costs 850$ for a standard harness. Once you go milspec, it jumps up to around 1200$ for a harness all said and done.

We are however going to do a tune on VP so that i can throw over 25 psi of boost at it, and more timing. A similar setup on only like a 75% gas 25% VP made 670 whp...so i should be around there...if the clutch will take it. Thats only for the track tho, so i can go, empty my tank, fill up with VP and run, and then put gas back in.

It looks really good man, nice build. I plan on making my own mil spec harness as well, do you have any tips? I have never done anything like that yet, and don't really know what I actually require to do it ( I haven't searched that much yet) nor do i really know what I should buy, brand wise and parts wise.

Other than that this car looks amazing. Good job

to do a harness takes a lot of time, but it also takes an understanding of what to do and where to do it. What sensors take 5v, what ones take 12, where you need shielded wire, proper grounding, etc....

The mil spec part, well, there are a few routes. You can go full milspec like the ones chase bays sells. VERY expensive. The plug itself is 300$ with pins, and you need a special crimper to crimp those pins, so thats another 300$ for the DMC crimper, altho you can get crappy one size ones for cheaper. That is why i went the Delphi HES route. The pins are a standard open barrel, so having a crimper is really easy (i have a crimper that came with my deutsch connector kit)
and its also dirt cheap. I think i paid like 100$ for both sides of the plug, the nut, the seal, and all of the pins i needed to do it.

As for the covering, i like this PET braid stuff. I almost wont work with split loom anymore, as this stuff is just a much better appearance in the end. Lots of place sell it, and its nice and cheap. Its more than split loom, but not a lot. Heat shrink again can be found at your local electronics stores.

Hope that helped. And thanks for the comments. (=
