Haha hilarious, and it that going to be the Jets logo? Or just one I haven't seen before?
And for the cup this year....I'll piiiiick...Oh I dunno, San Jose just for shits.

Yes! Now the Flames can unload some of their undesirable contracts to cheap teams for draft picks!!With the National Hockey League Entry Draft less than a week away and the potential for trades escalating this week and next with the free agency period looming, the salary cap will be going up by nearly $5 million next season.
Clubs and agents are being told next year's salary cap will be set at an upper limit of $64 million with a floor of $48 million.
During the 2010-11 season, the salary cap had an upper limit of $59.4 million.
The league's cap - entering its seven season under the current collective bargaining agreement - has risen every year since the end of the NHL lockout when the cap was set at $39-million.
Great news about the cap. I mean, most contending teams will probably use the extra cap as well - making them proportionately better... but it still means the ability for all teams to add a much-needed puzzle piece.
I think Vancouver should go after a power forward to both play with and help protect the Sedins.
Kesler can play centre and Henrik can play the wing. Now, you'll just need a veteran second line centre like Matt Stajan.Originally posted by Kloubek

When you said she's got talent, I assumed big tits. Fuck was I disappointed.
Except the increased cap doesn't make them better players. Somehow I don't see people knocking on Feaster's door and saying, you still got Stajan/Hagman/Kotalik? We wanted them sooooo bad, but couldn't fit them into the budget last year!Originally posted by Quizzes

Yeah, Stajan would be a perfect fit!
Nah... Sedins stay where they are. Drop Burrows down to the 2nd line (where he truly belongs) and add a big forward like Backes, Byfuglien, Stewart, Clowe, Hartnell, etc.
This is actually not the place for such talk though - I'll start a new Canucks thread. Hopefully void of riot talk.
My point is that teams with already a low cap hit needs to reach the floor in order to compete. Teams like NYI, Florida, Colorado, etc. will need to add salary.Originally posted by D'z Nutz

Florida needs to spend 29.7M to reach the floor!
Ah, I missed that. I want to help those teams achieve that goal!Originally posted by Quizzes

Cup this year? Hmm.... I'm gonna say San Jose. They make one more playoff run before people start jumping in desperation. Thornton isn't getting any younger, he's still got talent but getting old, he needs to pull a Hossa, only get it right the first time.
Of course, I'll say that the Jets make it into the playoffs, and hopefully past the first round.
