One of my friends got engaged last week. She didn't want a ring though ,so he bought her a new Honda 250 dirt bike. He has a Honda 450 dirt bike. Now they can ride together. I need to meet a girl like that !!

Hmm, not a bad idea, but I believe they will still end up blowing the 10Gs on a ring at some point.

I don't think so. She's very mechanically minded. She has a degree in Engineering and is very practical. She has a great job and makes as much as her boyfriend.
    She a very cool girl...

I dont' know man, i was looking around at jewellery stores, and i don't see how people spend $10k on engagement rings. Only the most expensive biggest ones you find are like $8K plus..
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

My buddy was saving up for a snowmobile, and decided that he was gonna ask his g/f (now finacee) to marry him, well all I can say is that the snowmobile got put on hold so he could pay for the ring... He didn't tell me an exact number, but it is around the $6000 range... Maybe the snowmobile will come next year.... And not to mention they just moved into a brand new condo...

    I'm sooooooo jealous...
