    Default Terrible Noise While Turning

My 2002 WRX is starting to rack up the repair bills. I can't complain that much since I haven't had any major issues with it in about 6 years.

For the last couple of weeks I noticed that when I would be turning into a parking stall it would kind of make this clicking noise. Not very loud but you could feel when the tires turned it wasn't right. Thought it might be a rock and would fall out eventually. It's started to get worse and happens when I turn the wheel in both directions. Doesn't happen at all at cruising speeds, only at low speeds (ie parking in a stall). This afternoon it started to make more noise than normal. Any suggestions to what it could be?

Could be power steering. Air in lines or leak? Possible you tore a boot on the rack, dirt got in, and ruined the rack seals = leaks. Check fluid level. Or it could be CV joints too, check the CV boots as well to see if they are cracked. Most common problem is dirt getting into the joints and wearing them.

I'm guessing CV joints if it only happens when you're turning.

+1 CV joints, it's a fairly easy repair to do yourself too

A lot of the auto parts stores sell re-manufactured axles. They are cheaper than new (of course) and usually provide additional incentive as they have a core charge which they will pay to you when you return your axle to them.

Guess it depends on how much the axle itself costs as to whether or not that is worth doing. On my Dodge, not so much, but I found the Nissan axles to be fucking expensive.
