Wow a STOCK 6 Cylinder motor running that fast and people are comparing it too Dericks race car, and Neils fully built 6L V8? That Supra doesn't weigh under 3000 lbs either. Fuck the hate in here is getting thick point is the Supra has run faster then Neil period, and not sure how you think he was in outlaw? I counted points and they don't add up. The car is also street driven so its a street car period

Maybe it is just time to stop keeping a list all together.

Ron, you are officially on my idiot list.

I CLEARLY said, "UNDER THE RULES OF THE SHOOTOUT".

I love the Supra, I have a mutual friend that knew Marko, so I went to talk to him about his car.... And ps... it wasn't a stock 6 cylinder motor But try again.

So, BECAUSE it's a Supra, your "domestic drivetrain" comment suddenly goes away?

BECAUSE it's a Supra, Redmethods "RACE CAR" drivle goes away?

I don't know what it weighs, It was gutted of stock interior, most of the stock wiring, gauges etc. This was a purpose built car, and its FAST.

Oh yeah, DIRECT PORT methanol injection....

I like Marko's car its pretty fucking cool..... Redmethods brought it up like it meant something pertaining to this conversation..... I still don't get his point.

And yes, he was in one class above Neal. BY THE RULES. (Neal won his class).... And yes, had Derek showed, they would have squared off. I'm not gonna pretend like Derek's car is not like bringing a Cannon to a fist fight, but that was the rules going in. Derek's car is built to another set of rules, and is the fastest in his class there as well.

The ONLY biased guys here are you and Redmethods.

Biased against 4 cylinder domestic compacts.

Now the car has stock pistons and eagle rods I believe, either way kick ass car and can be driven on the street if he wants to. Don't know how me and his car even got grouped together, or the fact that I already said I dont care if Dario is on the list or not, but yet Toma is all butt hurt about it. I race to have fun and get faster period, you guys can race to be the internet hero's all you want.

only 4 of the 10 on the list are sport compact cars, the rest are sports cars.

A sport compact is a high-performance version of a compact car or a subcompact car. They are typically are front engined, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive coupés, sedans, or hatchbacks driven by a straight-4 gasoline engine. Performance-oriented sport compacts generally focus on improving handling and increasing performance by engine efficiency, rather than increasing engine size. Sport compacts often feature external body modifications to improve aerodynamics or house larger wheels.
Typical sport compacts include such examples as Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Honda Civic Si, Chevrolet Cobalt SS, Ford Focus SVT, Opel Astra GTC, Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, Hyundai Tiburon, Honda Prelude, Toyota Celica and Scion tC TRD.

Yeah, you have to remember that this was originally an "Import" or Sport Compact / Import list. Then the struggle to truly define a Sport Compact begins. IMO, there are definitely 6 cylinder sport compacts.

    I mean, a MX-3 Precidia is a SMALL 6 cylinder...it's definitely a sport compact at heart.

I still think it should be displacement cap based. But definitely not 3.8L which sure as fuck isn't small. I think the displacement cap should be reduced, not increased. It was only extended to 3.5L (or set at that in the first place, to allow all of the traditional import cars to stay eligible for the list, with the Toyota Supra being the sole reason the displacement cap went that high.)

Anyhow, if you wanted to talk rule changes, I think dropping the displacement to perhaps 3.0L at maximum would be a good idea, hey, maybe even 2.6L. Or, you could just say no 6 cylinders, period. Only 4's.

Then it's a run what you built scenario, with only 4 bangers. I kind of like that idea. No real rules except it's gotta only have 4 cylinders.

Just look up a class list from one of the many US based drag racing series and follow that. That way it doesn't have a conflict of interest based on the person running the list. Also there is the solution of having multiple lists based on the classes.

    IE: 1 for 4 cylinders, and 1 for non-v8 sport compacts/sports cars
    Built not Bought.

You continue to embarrass yourself. How is a 'stock shortblock' the same as a 'stock engine' as you originally claimed?

Let me educate you a little.

"Shortblock" is the short block... no heads, basically the bottom end.
"Longblock" is the head assembly and shortblock assembled.
"Engine" is the entire assembly, intake etc.

Easy.... your underhanded swipes. Not man enough to take a direct shot, so you came out "sideways" and "sneeky"....And then take the "who? innocent old me me???" stand.

Man up. "Sideways" comes off across a cockroachy.

Still confused then why it was brought up lol.

I care.... it's fucking fast, and I like it. Us Alberta import guys gotta get our shit together lol.

And I know Ron knows (should know), but he is being sneaky sneaky with his wording and implications..... trying to prove something illogical through lying by omission and confusion.

Your the one here riding Dario's dick about his fucking Pinto, and acting like a hero. I was told the car was on a stock block and it did run low 8's on a stock block before but now has rods.
