Cool, thanks ken
I have often stayed at the Fire Mountain Lodge in Canmore. It's just 5 minutes away from Banff, I find the town a lot more scenic and easygoing, and instead of a square box hotel room, you get a luxury condo for the same price. Much better experience in my opinion.

Fox is a nice place, has a great cave-like hot pool and the location is perfect for a walk down the strip.Originally posted by theken

thanks guys,
was looking at banff because i know she loves the hot springs..
Hot springs are OK (for a cellulite infested public cesspool) but private hot tub just steps from your condo is tough to beat. The tub isn't actually private but it's enclosed and there hasn't been anyone there the many times I've been. I've even brought a bottle of wine and glasses.Originally posted by GOnSHO

Does it have to be Banff? Radium and Fairmont BC comes to mind for hot springs.
Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.
i forgot about radium and fairmont! thanks!
the canmore seems nice as well
I was at High Country Inn this past weekend. It was alright, decently sized rooms and $155/night but nothing too fancy. 5 min walk away from strip though.
Ever looked into special suites? I got a simple room at Best Western... with a Jacuzzi. Had LEDs, electronic temperature control and jets of course. =D Also a 5-10min walk from the strip. Underground parking.
Try the Delta (its pretty nice for the price as well).
Stay away from the Delta, the wife & I have a hard enough time getting a booking as it is...
Seriously though, they've got a nice set up.

If you decide to go to Radium or Fairmont, there's a group buy on right now for the new Copper Point Resort in Invermere.Originally posted by GOnSHO

I thought it was a good deal so I'm going to check it out this weekend. Would appreciate the referral if you decide to go.

Fox was really really nice, pretty far of a walk from strip but it was nice.
The room we had was spacious very clean and an awesome view. Bed was comfortable, pillows were not. Lots of places to get romantic. Like couch, chairs, table, big bed.
Anyways. For the money it was pretty good. Hot tub was nice too.
I would say
