installing remote start on smart key car
my car is 2010 nissan rogue wilch has smart key to start a car.
I like to install 2-way remote start like compu start but just wondering if I install that, how does work on smart key on my car?
Also how much cost would be install?
Is any best shop recommond to install?

Chances are, you have to give up one of your smart keys, so the alarm can interface it to perform the remote start.

The rogue is pretty easy. just need a Idatalink module, and you get to keep both keys.. the module will cost you atleast $150

Yes, thats what the IDataLink module is for. I believe in the past, you'd have to cut another Smart key that goes into a lil box underneath the dash but the new generation IDataLink acts as the same way. Pretty sure its a Blade ADLSACAOriginally posted by automachine

So yes you can still start the car with the key or remote start

First off you dont need to give up one of your keys like one member mentioned. depending on which starter you go for you will need the ADS-AL CA or ADS-BLADE AL. I would go to Visions, they have awesome prices, lifetime warranty on install and i highly recommend the extended warranty for the unit you choose to go with. All Car Audio retailers will install starters at any time. Try going as soon as possible because starter season is just around the corner and you dont want to be waiting a month till you get your starter installed. Maybe do a little shopping around and get some quotes. Go to a retail store that pays commission, they're usually always friendly, knowledgeable and put a lot of effort into the sale. If you have your cheapest quote on an official paper just show them and ask them to beat it.
