Hmm, much like the lightning storm we had here the other night in New Brunswick. Random as fuck 3 hour lightning storm, just ours had thunder. But it was consistent flashing.

It came over banff, I thought the power was gonna go out. It's nice here now. I only heard one big crack. It was also pissing rain.

We had it out in Airdrie too. Woke up and thought there was a police cruiser or stobe light right outside my house, the lightning was constant! I would have loved some super loud thunder, but the silence of the whole thing was just as crazy

I got some pics and vids except I was on the wrong end of town (west end) so nothing too dramatic. But by 3:40 or so, it was flashing non-stop. My co-worker who lives in Chestermere says it was right above her house but for some reason, no sound either...
And the only reason why I knew this was going on was because my dog woke me up at 3, panting and scared shitless. I thought she wanted to go outside so I threw her out and couldn't figure out why she was immediately scratching to get back in LOL. I went out and the sky was completely clear, but would just flash randomly. Pretty amazing what kind of senses dogs have since she wouldn't have seen the flashes from inside the house (as we have our blinds closed).
I really was hoping that it would come over the city and thunder like crazy... I love that shit LOL.
