'11 summer 'you better not have tint' canmore cruise

Time for the summer cruise! Last year there was about 150 cars in total from Calgary and Red Deer, let's make this one just as big! But be warned, as the title states. Last year the rcmp stopped the almost the entire highway to check all of our cars for tint. If you have tint, they will either ticket you or make you take it off. Also, we don't need any idiots on the cruise making everyone look bad like last year. PLEASE keep the speed down, and no stunting on bikes!

Depart Deerfoot mall: 10:30AM SHARP, leave for Walmart Drumheller!
Head North on Deerfoot
Turn right (East) onto Stoney trail, follow bend for a while
Turn left (East) on 16th Ave, pass through Strathmore
Turn left onto 21 (North, comes after 243 Range Road), go for a while
Turn right (East) onto 9
Turn right onto St. Railway
Turn right somewhere to get into Walmart (no roads on google map appear, lol)

I might be interested but not sure If I'll be in town or not. When you said they were ticketing for tint, I'm assuming you mean illegal tint right? Was anyone with legal tint (back windows) bothered?

I'm not 100% sure, someone who had tint might want to chime in on this. From what I know, rear window tint even limo dark is 100% legal, however it is illegal to tint your front windows. They didn't give anyone tickets last year, they just made people peel em, even if they asked for a ticket instead. As far as I know they didn't bug anyone with rear tint...

They stopped the entire cruise and backed up all highway traffic, and went down one by one making people roll their windows up to check for tint.

So for those of you who got bothered about tint, did you have your fronts tinted? I just have the rear windows and the rear windshield tinted but if there's a chance of getting a tint ticket, I'll probably pass on this.
