It's 60s because there are 2 set of lights on the bridge and overpass freezes in winter.Originally posted by UndrgroundRider
The bigger issue is that, that section of road is only 60. After the hidden valley turnoffs it should be 80.

Posts like this make me sad. Not because of the post but because good drivers on 2-3 lane highways (not sure if this was on one though) get stupid tickets for going a bit over because the police need money. when did the whole thing change where money was greater then safety. 4 days a week I drive to work from Somerset to around Chinook area. I cannot believe how many horrible drivers there are. People driving 60km/h in a playground zone and I dont mean once in a while, I mean every single day I see it. People not using turn signals, driving slow in the left lane (Bus drivers do it and its disgusting), stopping in merge lanes, the list goes on. Canada needs to really crack down on bad drivers and not just blame everything on speed. They blame it on speed because its the easiest thing that can be ticketed and hold up in court. Speed doesn't kill people, bad drivers do (Europe has proven this)
Hhahahah shit, I was talking about that camera to a friend just the other week, that, what the hell is the speed limit on this bridge because, there's really no way to know coming off the exit ramp.
And of course, you can see the 80max sign just a few meters down the road.
I didn't want to take any chance so I slowed to 60kph crossing the lights. It's a total cash grab for sure. Ridiculous.
I don't understand this trick though still, the speed on country hills is 60 as I have so been informed once by the police, so knowing you were going 60, you know that unless otherwise posted you should be doing 60 when you are on the attached road.
It's a messed up intersection for sure.Originally posted by schocker

Red = 60kph
Green = 80kph
triangle = traffic camera catching east bound traffic.
Besides the camera, cops loves to catch people who did not slow down to 60kph going west bound.
I had forgotten about the 80 section going to shaganappiOriginally posted by Xtrema

I avoid country hills at all costs though anyways unless I need a slurpee or a screamer as stoney trail is a great timesaver.
