It is hard to negotiate significantly without having a prior relationship with the dealer especially for limited edition pieces like that. That being said, not many people are lining up for them I imagine so they might move a bit on the price if they see you're a serious buyer and make a serious offer.

And yes you are right - expect to lose more than 50% of the watch's value on that particular piece the moment you take it regardless of how much you pay for it.

I’ve found the watch I want. It’s a roger Dubuis sterrato and they want $70k USD. They are limited edition and they only have 2 left in the colour I want. Can I negotiate them down? Is that a thing?

I know I’m going to lose money on it but I just want it to complete a car + watch collection.

For RD, yes, you should be able to get a decent discount. (or allow you to combo with others) 70K US + tax/duty/GST .. we are talking over 100K ..

Haha ya I strongly suggest not to go for it if you care about any return on your 'investment' for a watch like that. Whatever potential positive return you might get on one of the Lambo's will get eaten up by the money you lose on that watch. lol

New day, new addition to the collection. I got rid of my regular Heuer 01 that needed service some time ago and when I got the opportunity to jump on this being the Man United limited edition version, I went for it even though the limited edition came with a premium over the regular one. I know it’s not going to be for everyone but I don’t seem to like shit that everyone likes. Haha.
